Harworth Group returns as pavilion partner for third year at UKREiiF 2024

Property regeneration company Harworth Group will return to The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) next year.

The event – held between May 21-23, 2024 in Leeds – is expected to bring together industry experts, investors, and key stakeholders from the real estate and infrastructure sectors across the UK.

It’s the third consecutive year that Harworth Group has attended.

Diverse portfolio

With a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from strategic land developments to brownfield regeneration, Harworth has played a pivotal role in shaping sustainable communities for the future.

With massive undertakings in Manchester (including Logistics North, one of the largest and most successful developments of its kind to be brought forward in the north of England) and the Midlands (32,000 sq. ft of Grade A industrial & logistics space at a site in Bardon Hill, Leicestershire), Harworth continues to add to its UK-wide portfolio.

Unique platform

UKREiiF provides a unique platform to share insights, engage in networking opportunities, and explore innovative solutions driving the real estate and infrastructure markets forward.

Harworth’s participation in the event demonstrates its commitment to fostering growth, promoting sustainable development, and contributing to the transformation of the UK’s built environment.

Last year its pavilion was hailed a tremendous success, providing visitors with an immersive experience into Harworth’s impressive projects and sustainable development initiatives.

Attendees could interact with key team members, gain valuable industry knowledge, and witness first-hand how Harworth is leading the charge in shaping the future of real estate.

Building on achievements

The third year at UKREiiF allows Harworth to build on the achievements of its previous pavilion and further strengthen its industry relationships. It also offers a prime opportunity for the company to showcase new and exciting developments, discuss investment opportunities, and engage in thought-provoking discussions about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

Lynda Shillaw, chief executive of Harworth, said: “UK REiiF has become a key event in the Harworth calendar, and a great way for us to engage with a wide array of stakeholders, share ideas and demonstrate the enormous value that Harworth can deliver for communities up and down the country.

“We are delighted to be returning again in 2024 with an exciting line-up of events in the Harworth pavilion and we look forward to building many more relationships across the real estate industry.”

Keith Griffiths, chief executive officer and founder of UKREiiF, said: “Harworth’s pavilion last year was a highlight of the event, providing attendees with an insight into their impressive portfolio of projects and sustainable development initiatives.

“We look forward to seeing how the company continues to shape the future of real estate and contribute to the transformation of the UK’s built environment.”

Next year’s event

Led by the UK’s leading property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the third annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 21-23 May 2024.

The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth, and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.

Springboks unchanged as they eye 2019 repeat against England

0

South Africa are hoping the experience of winning the 2019 World Cup final against England will prove pivotal in Saturday’s last-four clash in Paris.

The Springboks prevailed 32-12 four years ago in Japan and today named 15 players from that meeting in the 23 for this weekend’s re-match.

It also means an unchanged matchday group from that which beat tournament hosts France in such thrilling fashion on Sunday.

Coach Jacques Nienaber said: “We’ve been building a quality squad for the last few years so that we could be in this position going into the knockout matches.

“We have a squad of 33 players, all of whom are very closely matched in terms of their skill and quality of play which made it tempting to make changes this week and it was tough to select this group both last week and this week. But we feel it’s now time to go with the players in the squad who we believe are in their best form.

“This may not have much significance, but the fact remains that these players have been here before, and they know what it will take to defeat a top-quality team such as England.

“Competition for places in the team is very tight and the coaches had a few in depth discussions before finalising the team.

“We have players like Lukhanyo Am, Canan Moodie, Andre Esterhuizen, Jasper Wiese, Jean Kleyn, and the list goes on, who are all good enough to be in this team and would have fitted in and done the job just well as the other players.

“But we can only select 23 and everyone in this group is aligned and understands that the country comes first.

“We are playing for our friends, family and the 60 million people at home who have been supporting us through thick and thin and we are determined to continue giving them hope and something to smile about.”

South Africa are overwhelming favourites against an England side that saw off Fiji to make the semis, but Nienaber remains wary of Steve Borthwick’s men.

“They come off five victories in a row and they are high on confidence. They have a quality pack and world-class backs who can create magic on the field, and those who are writing them off are making a major mistake,” he added.

“Like us, they are one game away from a World Cup final and we’ve seen through the history of the tournament that England raise their game for these matches. If we lose, we have to play the third-place play-off – which no team wants to do.

“We are closely matched in terms of average player age and caps, both teams are used to playing on the biggest stage. This is do-or-die if either of wants to the lift the trophy next week, so neither side will give an inch.”

Marc Skinner calls for Champions League rule changes as his Manchester United side miss out on qualification

Manchester United boss Marc Skinner says being drawn against Paris Saint-Germain at the Women’s Champions League qualifying stage is “something that needs to be addressed.”

After coming back to secure a draw in the first leg, Skinner’s side, despite playing some great football, were beaten 3-1 in the return last night to go out 4-2 on aggregate. Skinner had made his feelings about his side’s tough draw known prior and continued to express his feelings post-match.

He said: “It’s crazy that we have to play PSG in this qualifying round, crazy.

“It needs to be something that is addressed.”

Tensions were raised when United forward Leah Galton’s header 20 minutes from time was controversially ruled out for a foul on the goalkeeper, a decision Skinner was not too pleased with.

Despite the loss, he was determined not to let this affect his side going forward and instead use it as motivation to come back and secure a different result next season.

He told MUTV: “We’ve scored a goal that should stand. It’s ridiculous. If that’s the level of officiating at this standard, it’s not good enough.

“That’s a goal, and we’re in the ascendancy then to get more. We’ve come into an intimidating situation, and we’ve been the better team.

“We will learn from it. We’ll come back stronger. We got a taste of it.

“That’s all credit to our players and shows everybody else in Europe what they’re going to get used to over the next few years

“We as a team are absolutely growing and going to where we want to be. We’re not going to let anybody stand in our way.

“I’m going to make sure we’re driven to make sure we are a constant fixture in the Champions League.”

Stanislav Kondrashov Explores Extraordinary Human Abilities in New Publication

In his latest publication, titled “Investigating Real-Life Superpowers By Stanislav Kondrashov,” Stanislav Kondrashov delves into the world of individuals who possess extraordinary and, at times, superhuman abilities. These remarkable people may not wear masks or fly through the skies, but their exceptional talents are no less fascinating.

Stanislav Kondrashov shares several famous examples of individuals who have become legendary for their extraordinary abilities, some of which could be likened to superpowers. One intriguing example is the magnetic charisma exhibited by certain individuals. While not telekinesis, it’s a bioelectromagnetic phenomenon that endows some people with an extraordinary magnetic attraction to others.

The author also highlights the case of Wim Hof, famously known as “The Ice Man.” Hof’s ability to withstand extreme cold through meditation and breath control showcases the untapped potential of the human mind.

Drawing from a mysterious source within, some individuals have demonstrated incredible strength during emergencies, such as lifting cars or massive stones to save those in distress. Stanislav Kondrashov suggests that this remarkable ability may be connected to the power of adrenaline and the hidden reservoir of strength within the human body.

Kondrashov goes on to discuss the remarkable capabilities of blind individuals who have developed a heightened sensitivity, enabling them to perceive their surroundings much like bats. He also explores the extraordinary memory of those who never forget faces, names, or entire books, attributing this talent to a photographic memory.

The author unveils the mystery behind individuals with an exceptional sense of taste, who can experience food in ways that others cannot, savoring even the subtlest nuances of flavor.

In Africa, Kondrashov suggests that certain tribes have evolved to see in total darkness, a remarkable ability that allows them to perceive even the faintest traces of light.

For a more in-depth exploration of these incredible human abilities, readers are encouraged to delve into the full publication and the video.

Time Travel: Pauzible is bringing back the low mortgages of 2021

Pauzible.com has taken on the challenge of solving the mortgage crisis facing UK homeowners. Pauzible says it can bring the monthly mortgage payment down to the amount that the homeowner paid back in 2021 and fix it at that level for up to five years. This simple solution should allow homeowners to retain their homes and provide some relief from the increased cost of living.

Why should you care?

“This crisis needs to be addressed urgently, not only for the financial well-being of those involved but also because it has the potential to snowball into a deep nationwide economic downturn,” says Prateek Solapurker, Co-founder of Pauzible. “For those struggling, the Pauzible solution could be a game changer.”

Mortgage rates have almost tripled

In late 2021, homeowners were typically paying 2.29% for their mortgage, but today the average rate on a two-year fixed-rate mortgage is estimated to be around 6%. This increase has been driven by an unprecedented increase in the Bank of England’s (BoE’s) base rate from 0.10% in early December 2021 to 5.25% in early August 2023. A more detailed look at the numbers and potential solutions can be found in Prateek’s article on “Navigating the Great Mortgage Crisis of 2023” available here.

Problem: Short term fixed rate mortgages

There has been a lack of availability of long-term fixed-rate mortgages. As homeowners are coming to the end of their shorter fixed rate terms, they are facing dramatic increases in housing costs. Mortgage payments already constitute a third of monthly outgoings for many households and even the most prudent households are not prepared for a twofold increase or more in their mortgage rate.

Secure your home, or await a fresh start?

“Homeownership remains the largest source of wealth for most UK households,” says Prateek. Eventually, it is also the most effective way of combating inflation.

“This inspired us to design a product to reduce mortgage payments to an affordable level, preserve homeownership, and achieve a long-term solution without incurring additional debt,” says Aivanaa Maraea, Chief Product Officer of Pauzible.

Bringing back the 2021 mortgages

Pauzible cannot reduce the BoE base rate. But it can turn back time by pausing the mortgage hike by paying the difference between the new higher mortgage payment and the amount that homeowners can afford. Pauzible’s home equity investment product through its mortgage top-ups effectively reduces the monthly payment to a level as low as it was in 2021. This payment is made every month for a mutually agreed pause period of up to five years. Thereafter, homeowners resume their full monthly mortgage payments.

Not a debt, but a fractional share of property

Pauzible’s payments constitute neither a grant nor a loan. For its payments, it receives a fraction of the value of homeowners’ property. Typically, Pauzible’s share would be less than a fifth of the value of the property but depends on individual circumstances.

As it is not a loan, there is no charge on their property and there are no periodic interest payments and principal repayments. Pauzible’s return on its investment will go up and down with the value of their property.

Your property remains yours

During the pause period, homeowners remain the only title holders of their property. They also have an option during the buyback period of up to 10 years from the first Pauzible payment to buy Pauzible’s share at a reasonable value and regain 100% of the share. After the buyback period, Pauzible has the right to buy their remaining share at a fair market price for it to be able to realise its investment.

The team behind Pauzible has acquired deep knowledge of financial markets, and more specifically in mortgages, through decades of experience at institutions such as HSBC, Barclays, and Deutsche Bank. They are enthusiastic about creating and delivering innovative financial solutions directly to people through technology.

SAPPivot Simplifies the Complexity of SAP Data Migration for Businesses

SAP-focused businesses are increasingly turning to cloud-based system implementations to enhance agility and achieve measurable ROI. In a recent survey, 86% of companies revealed that they have either migrated their workloads to SAP S/4HANA or have plans to evaluate and deploy it. With SAP’s mainstream support for legacy ECC software set to end in 2027, many businesses are expediting their SAP transformation initiatives.

One of the pivotal challenges in this transformation journey is migrating critical data from existing non-SAP or legacy SAP systems to new SAP systems, often involving data format conversions. Effectively transferring data to modern arrays demands meticulous planning and seamless execution.

SAPPivot, a trailblazer in guiding SAP-centric businesses through complex SAP transformation processes, has dissected the SAP data migration process to provide invaluable insights.

SAPPivot emphasises the paramount importance of data quality, emphasising its role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and expedited migration. High data quality safeguards against inconsistencies and compliance issues that can arise from incomplete or erratic data during the migration process. Businesses embarking on SAP system transitions are encouraged to establish data quality objectives and allocate resources accordingly.

Data mapping is another critical step, where rules for translating source data into target data are defined. SAPPivot underscores the significance of data mapping in maintaining data accuracy, especially when dealing with dissimilar source and target fields. SAPPivot states, “A common challenge is mapping complex data structures, particularly in cases where source and target fields are not identical. This requires a thorough understanding of the data being migrated and the ability to create mapping rules that are easy to understand and implement.”

Furthermore, cleansing and enhancing master data before migration are essential steps to ensure a successful transition.

Data validation is the final step in the process, confirming the absence of inconsistent or erroneous data in the new system. Given the complexity of validating extensive and intricate datasets, SAPPivot advocates the establishment of validation processes and rules for seamless migration. Employing automated validation tools or conducting manual checks by subject-matter experts can ensure a seamless data validation process, ensuring comprehensive data accuracy, early issue detection, and data loss prevention.

SAPPivot underscores the importance of adhering to best practices for a successful migration. The article emphasises meticulous planning, the efficient identification of data sources, completeness of migrating data, the elimination of duplicate and erroneous data, and data compliance as effective strategies for a seamless migration process.

The article also highlights the significance of adopting proven strategies while executing data migration. According to SAPPivot, conducting a data migration assessment can help define the scope and complexity of the data involved. Additionally, strategic testing, data validation, risk management, and change management can streamline the transition effectively.

SAPPivot emphasises that leveraging industry best practices and strategic approaches is crucial for a smooth migration. Equally important is the selection of a premium migration tool. Options such as SAP Data Services, SAP LSMW, and third-party data migration tools offer unique functionalities. Tool selection should align with the organisation’s business requirements and specific needs, according to SAPPivot. A quality migration tool facilitates efficient data extraction, transfer, loading, standardisation, cleaning, and reconciliation, enabling businesses to achieve faster agility. However, SAPPivot recommends that enterprises have a well-defined project plan and access to essential resources for a successful implementation. Furthermore, alignment of all stakeholders with the implementation goal is essential.

SAPPivot, led by CEO Ruth Forrest, is a team of consultants, experts, and technologists. The company assists SAP-centric companies in navigating the complex and dynamic landscape of SAP migration, providing practical strategies and expert guidance.

In a concerted effort to increase diversity within the space sector, the UK Space Agency Accelerator aims to attract more female entrepreneurs to the program. The accelerator is open not only to applicants from the space sector but also to entrepreneurs from adjacent industries such as marketing, finance, design, IT, or architecture who are interested in transitioning into the space industry. As the space sector continues to grow, with 80% of its income derived from commercial activities, opportunities abound for entrepreneurs to bridge the diversity gap in the industry.

We are committed to taking an inclusive approach by reaching out to entrepreneurs with space-applicable technologies across all sorts of business areas, to explore the space sector as a potential market.”
