A guide to cleaning painted walls before moving home

Getting ready to move out? One crucial task that often gets overlooked is cleaning the painted walls. A thorough wall-cleaning session can make a significant difference in how your old place looks and feels when you hand over the keys.

Let’s dive into a comprehensive guide on how to spruce up those walls before your big move!

1. Preparing the necessary materials and tools

Before diving into cleaning your painted walls before moving out, it’s crucial to gather all the necessary materials and tools.

Start by preparing a bucket of warm water and mild detergent to wash the walls later. Grab some soft sponges or cloths that won’t damage the paint surface during cleaning. Consider having a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment handy for dusting off any loose dirt.

If you’re dealing with tough stains, make sure to have baking soda on hand to create a paste or magic erasers for those stubborn marks. Having these items ready will save you time and effort when tackling different types of wall stains.

2. Dust the walls

Dusting the walls is an essential first step in preparing them for a move-out clean. Before grabbing your duster or vacuum with a brush attachment, take a quick scan of the walls to identify any areas that may need extra attention.

Start at the top of the wall and work your way down systematically. Be thorough in removing dust, cobwebs, and loose dirt from all surfaces. Pay close attention to corners and behind furniture where dust tends to accumulate.

Using a duster or vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment ensures that you can effectively capture the debris without causing damage to the paint. Remember to be gentle yet thorough in this process; you want to create a clean canvas for further cleaning steps.

3. Spot clean stains

Take the time to inspect every nook and cranny of your walls for any stubborn marks or spots that need attention. Whether it’s a mystery stain or a smudge from daily life, a mild detergent mixed with water can work wonders.

Before diving in, remember this golden rule: always test the cleaner on a small hidden area first to avoid any unwanted surprises. This simple precaution can save you from potential paint damage and ensure your cleaning process goes smoothly.

Armed with your gentle cleaner and a soft sponge or cloth, tackle those pesky stains confidently. Gently but firmly work on the affected areas, applying just enough pressure to lift the mark without harming the paint underneath. With patience and care, those stains will soon be nothing but a distant memory on your freshly cleaned walls.

4. Wash the walls

Start by preparing a bucket of warm water mixed with a mild detergent. This gentle solution will help lift dirt and grime without damaging the paint.

Take a soft sponge or cloth, dip it into the soapy water, and ensure it’s only damp – not soaking wet. It’s crucial to begin cleaning from the top of the wall and work your way down in sections. This technique prevents streaks from forming as you go along.

5. Rinse and dry

Using a separate sponge or cloth and clean water, gently wipe down the area you just cleaned. Be careful not to oversaturate the walls, as excess water can lead to unwanted streaks.

Once rinsed, grab a dry cloth or towel to pat the walls dry. Drying them thoroughly helps prevent water spots and streaks from forming on the freshly cleaned surface.

By taking the time to properly rinse and dry your walls after cleaning, you’ll achieve a pristine finish that will impress even the most meticulous of inspectors. Remember, attention to detail in this final step can make all the difference in ensuring your painted walls look spotless for move-out day.

6. Address tough stains

Dealing with tough stains on painted walls can be a bit tricky, but fear not; there are effective solutions at your fingertips. For those stubborn grease or crayon marks that just won’t budge, try creating a paste using baking soda and water. This natural concoction works wonders in breaking down the stains without harming the paint.

Simply mix the baking soda with water until you achieve a thick paste-like consistency. Apply this mixture to the affected area and gently scrub away the stain using a soft sponge or cloth. The abrasive nature of baking soda helps lift off the grime while being gentle on your walls.

Another option for tackling persistent marks is using a magic eraser. These handy tools work like a charm in removing tough stains without requiring harsh chemicals or excessive elbow grease. After treating the area, make sure to rinse it thoroughly with clean water and dry it completely to prevent any residue from forming.

7. Pay attention to baseboards and corners

Baseboards and corners often collect dust and grime unnoticed, so taking the time to give them some TLC is essential. Start by using a soft-bristled brush or a damp cloth to gently scrub these areas.

Baseboards can accumulate dirt over time, especially in high-traffic areas like hallways or living rooms. A quick wipe-down with a damp cloth can refresh their appearance and elevate the overall look of the room. Don’t forget about those hard-to-reach corners where cobwebs tend to hide – a thorough clean will leave your walls looking pristine.

Areas around light switches and door handles are prone to fingerprints and smudges. A simple wipe with a damp cloth can easily remove any marks left behind, giving these frequently touched spots a polished finish.

8. Touch-up paint if necessary

Check if you have leftover paint from when the walls were first painted; this can be a lifesaver for touch-ups.

Before diving in, make sure to stir the paint well to ensure a consistent colour match with the existing wall. Use a small brush or even a cotton swab for precision touch-ups on those annoying little imperfections.

Apply thin layers of paint gradually over the marks, allowing each layer to dry completely before adding more. This method helps achieve that seamless finish you’re aiming for without creating noticeable patchy areas.

Conclusion

Cleaning the painted walls is one of the big task in End of Tenancy Cleaning procedure. By following this guide to cleaning painted walls before moving out, you can ensure that your living space looks well-maintained and fresh for the next occupants. Taking the time to properly clean the walls will not only leave a good impression but also help you get back your security deposit if you’re renting.

Remember, a little effort goes a long way in making sure that your old place is left sparkling clean and ready for its new chapter. So roll up your sleeves, gather your supplies, and give those walls the TLC they deserve!

Shifts in Operations: How Metinvest Group Enterprises Have Adapted Amidst Ongoing Conflict

0

Over the past two years, Ukrainians have been showing steadfast resistance against Russia’s full-scale invasion. Since the onset of the conflict in 2014, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has regularly supported those facing the most dire circumstances. Ukrainian civilians residing in the frontline areas and liberated regions receive essential supplies such as food, household items, medicine, and hygiene products from SCM businesses.

Since the outset of the conflict, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has contributed over 700,000 medicines to aid Ukrainians. Support for the Ukrainian armed forces is actively provided through the Steel Front military project. The initiative has procured various equipment such as vehicles, drones, charging stations, and other essentials, totaling over 1,200 vehicles, 47,268 first aid kits, more than 5,000 UAVs, 17,037 pieces of special equipment, and beyond.

Restoration of Energy Infrastructure

In the wake of the first seven months of full-scale conflict, Russia has shifted its focus to destroying Ukraine’s energy facilities. Moscow openly acknowledges Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as one of its primary targets. Consequently, DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, which controls a third of the energy market and accounts for 90% of the nation’s coal production, has suffered considerable losses. As reported by The Kyiv Independent, the company’s value has been reduced three times.

On the second day of the full-scale invasion, DTEK lost control of Luhanska TPP, the sole source of electricity for nearly a million residents in the north of Luhansk, now predominantly occupied by Russian forces.

Another thermal power plant owned by DTEK was seized by the Russians in Enerhodar, a town in Zaporizhia Region, which is home to Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant that was also seized by Russia. This has left approximately 2.5 million people in the Russian-occupied territories without access to electricity. Meanwhile, Rinat Akhmetov keeps allocating funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and civilians, surpassing the contributions of many other prominent businessmen.

In just one year, DTEK has restored electricity to around 7 million households, while Ukrtelecom is diligently working to ensure that Ukrainians maintain access to communication services. Currently, internet services are available in 87% of Ukrainian settlements covered by the company’s network.

The Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov believes that a peace agreement with Russia is only conceivable on Ukraine’s terms, which include the withdrawal of Russian troops and the return of seized territories under Ukrainian control. Akhmetov underscores that Ukraine’s struggle is not merely for its own freedom but for the freedom of all of Europe.

5 Tips for Commercial Property Tenants to Reduce Costs

0

Navigating the world of commercial property can be challenging, especially when it comes to keeping occupational costs under control. At Deft Real Estate, we understand the importance of maximising value for tenants. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of tips to help reduce your property costs. From lease re-gears to rent review negotiations, here’s how you can optimise cost savings for your business:

  1. Lease Regears – consider renegotiating your lease terms before they expire or leveraging your tenant option to break to your advantage. Landlords may be open to adjusting rental rates or grant competitive incentives/rent free periods to retain reliable tenants. Engage in proactive discussions with your landlord to explore potential opportunities for cost savings.
  2. Rent Review Negotiations – don’t settle for a rental uplift without seeking professional advice from a chartered surveyor to navigate rent review negotiations effectively. With expert guidance, you can challenge proposed increases and negotiate favourable terms that align with market conditions.
  3. Lease Renewals – approach lease renewals strategically to secure competitive terms. Explore options such as break clauses to enable flexibility for the business, a rent-free period or stepped rent. Introduce competitive tension into lease renewal negotiations by reviewing alternative relocation options and comparing against your current property.
  4. Relocations – evaluate your current space utilisation and assess whether relocation could lead to cost savings. Moving to a more efficient or strategically located property could result in reduced rent and operational expenses. Conduct thorough market research to identify viable relocation options and employ an advisor to ensure you don’t make any costly mistakes when acquiring new premises.
  5. Business Rates – stay informed about changes in business rates and explore all available exemptions and reliefs. Understanding the complexities of business rates can help you minimize this significant expense. Additionally, consider appealing your rateable value if you believe it is excessive.

Maximising your cost-efficiency isn’t just about the bottom line – it’s also about optimising your workspace to enhance productivity and employee satisfaction. Consider whether your current location meets the evolving needs of your business and its employees.

At Deft Real Estate, we are passionate about helping commercial property tenants save money and optimise their real estate strategies.  Whether you need advice on lease negotiations/re-gears, rents reviews or relocations strategies, we have the holistic experience to support you every step of the way.

Luton boss Edwards confident his players will deliver against Manchester City

0

Luton Town boss Rob Edwards has backed his players to deliver against Manchester City tomorrow, even though he could be without all seven of the club’s central defenders for the daunting trip to the Etihad.

The Hatters make the trip north sitting in 18th place in the Premier League and with a crippling injury list that has made their task of staying in the top flight much harder over recent weeks.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Haaland can improve areas of his game

Luton beat Bournemouth last weekend – their first win in 12 league games – and Edwards is confident his side will give it their all once again against a City side still aiming to repeat last year’s treble success.

He said: “We are already depleted. It is a huge challenge at the best of times [facing Man City]. The players have been great, the players that are available have been amazing.

“For them to be giving us what they have over this last month or so when it’s been really tough. They deserve so much credit and they are going to go and deliver again tomorrow, I know that. What I can’t guarantee is a victory or any kind of points.”

Edwards is facing a nervous wait to see if he will have a centre-half available to take on Erling Haaland with Reece Burke and Teden Mengi closest to being fit.

He added: “We’ve got seven centre halves at this club and not one has trained this week.

“Maybe we get one, maybe we get both, but maybe we don’t get either.

“Teden twice pushed through to help us win the game last week against Bournemouth and was in a lot of pain.”

Luton have already played City twice this season, losing narrowly at home in the league before suffering a 6-2 thrashing in the FA Cup in February.

“We can go there with a belief and a confidence that stranger things have happened,” said Edwards.

“They are a brilliant team with probably the greatest manager of all time and a fantastic group of players, no matter who he plays.

“There is pressure on them to win every game because they are fighting for every trophy. We feel the same, just for different reasons.”

‘The ultimate luxury player’ – Jamie Carragher says Erling Haaland is not world-class

0

Erling Haaland has been described as “the ultimate luxury footballer” by Jamie Carragher, with the former defender insisting the Manchester City star is not a world-class player.

Haaland scored 52 goals in all competitions as City won the treble last season and has 30 to his name in 2023-24, but that has not stopped him becoming the subject of fierce criticism lately.

Following a quiet performance from the Norwegian in a drab goalless draw between City and Arsenal two weeks ago, Roy Keane said Haaland’s all-round game was akin to that of a League Two player.

Read our other Erling Haaland news stories here:
Keane doubles down on Haaland ‘League Two player’ jibe
Man City: Former Real Madrid star Van der Vaart hits out at ‘useless’ Haaland
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Haaland can improve areas of his game

Keane doubled down on those comments this week, saying the striker’s general play is “nowhere near good enough” on a weekly basis.

While City boss Pep Guardiola acknowledged Haaland can still improve on Friday, he also said there was “no chance” his team would have won last season’s Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup trophies without him.

Former Liverpool defender Carragher, though, has echoed Keane’s sentiments, saying Haaland is not yet on the level of Premier League greats Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez and Harry Kane.

In a column for The Telegraph, Carragher wrote: “Erling Haaland is the ultimate luxury footballer.

“He is undoubtedly one of the worlds greatest goalscorers but is yet to become a world-class player. To be truly world-class you need more than one, all-encompassing trait.

“Think of the best Premier League strikers of the last 20 years – Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez or Harry Kane – and they had or have a major influence on the biggest matches whether they scored or not.

“All of them could play for any side in the world and contribute more than an impressive strike rate.

“In general play, Haaland is not at the same level as these strikers yet, his three most recent games against top-class centre-backs confirming that for all his brilliance inside the penalty area, he is a work-in-progress out of it.

“Virgil van Dijk, William Saliba and Antonio Rudiger bullied Haaland, the much-hyped showdowns between top defenders and a goal machine were nothing of the sort. They were a mismatch rather than a match-up.”

What Is Professional Indemnity Insurance?

Professional indemnity insurance, commonly abbreviated as PII, is a type of insurance that safeguards your business from financial fallout caused by claims from clients. If a client experiences losses due to your advice or substandard services, this insurance steps in to cover legal fees, compensation, and other associated expenses.

For example, if you design a software program for a client, and it ends up causing financial losses due to an error that led to a data breach, a PII policy would step in to cover all the expenses associated with defending you.

As a result, PII indemnifies professionals against potential liabilities. It’s crucial for various industries and professions to have this insurance in place to ensure smooth operations and to avoid significant financial setbacks.

The importance of this type of insurance in the UK is reflected in its market worth, which reached GBP3.3 billion in 2023. It’s expected to keep growing in the coming years, because professionals in different industries such as law, construction and IT, understand the importance of PII nowadays, as an efficient way to safeguard their practice and business from unexpected issues.

What is an Example of a Professional Indemnity Insurance Claim?

To help you understand how PII works, and why it’s a good idea to hire this policy, we have created an example of a PII claim. Below, find all the details about it

An Example of a PII Claim in the Construction Industry

Joe D., a construction project manager, was responsible for supervising the application of a specialised waterproof coating on the exterior walls of a newly erected high-rise building. This coating was crucial as it needed to endure severe weather conditions and offer long-lasting protection against moisture penetration.

Despite extensive research and testing, the chosen coating failed to adhere properly to the building’s surface, resulting in water seepage and gradual structural deterioration. Consequently, the client, a real estate developer, faced substantial expenses to rectify the damage and resolve the underlying issue.

What Would Happen If Joe D. Had Bought PII?

In response to this situation, the developer initiated legal proceedings against Joe D., alleging professional negligence in the selection and application of the coating. Fortunately, Joe D.  was covered by a comprehensive professional indemnity insurance policy, which not only handled the legal fees but also compensated the developer, totaling more than £50,000.

This is why it’s important to get a tailored PII policy from a qualified broker, to make sure it meets all of your needs and goals, to safeguard your business from similar situations that might damage your company irreparably otherwise.

What Would Happen If Joe D. Hadn’t Bought PII?

Had the developer pursued all their damages, including the expenses for extensive repairs and potential loss of rental income, the claim could have amounted to hundreds of thousands of pounds. Thanks to the insurance coverage, Joe D. successfully mitigated the financial repercussions of the incident and continued his involvement in the construction sector.

One of the main takeaways of this example is that PII helps you to reduce the potential financial impact as much as possible, which would be impossible to do otherwise.

As it’s clear, getting professional indemnity insurance is always a smart idea, because it will safeguard your business and allow you to work with peace of mind, knowing it will have your back if something goes wrong.

Risks Covered by a Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy

Until now, we have talked about how PII can protect you as a professional or business in case a client decides to file a claim against you. However, in this section we will dive deep into the details, to understand the real scope of this insurance policy.

Legal Fees

If your advice or service causes financial losses to a client, they will be in their right to file a claim against you, and in this situation, the insurance would step in and cover all the legal fees associated with it. You can save thousands of pounds only by covering this risk, especially if multiple clients decide to file a claim against you.

Compensation and Fines

If a client proves that your services or advice resulted in financial losses, they may be eligible for compensation, and you could face fines and penalties. Thankfully, your PI insurance would intervene to cover all associated expenses, including compensation, civil fines, and penalties, protecting the financial health of your business.

Intellectual Property

If necessary, the insurance can also cover the legal costs associated with intellectual property theft or infringement. This is especially relevant for IT professionals, who would benefit from PI insurance, as it would intervene to cover all the associated expenses.

Breach of Confidentiality

Professional indemnity insurance can also cover the associated expenses with disclosure of information that might lead to financial repercussions. In this case, PII would step in to cover the legal fees and costs associated with it, to bring you relief and protection.

Customise the Risks Covered by Your PII Policy

You have the option to tailor your professional indemnity (PI) insurance to suit your specific requirements and objectives. That’s why we recommend reaching out for a free quote from Compariqo. This brokerage service is adept at assisting you in safeguarding against all potential risks your profession or business may face.

This ensures you can work with confidence, knowing that your insurance will provide support if unforeseen challenges arise, covering legal fees and compensation should things not go as intended.

Exclusions by a Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy

Let’s explore the exclusion of PI insurance, to understand the rules and restrictions that will apply to it.

Claims Prior to Purchasing the Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy

Evidently, the PI insurance won’t cover any claims made prior to purchasing the policy. PI insurance has been designed to only address potential future claims. Therefore, the coverage will only begin from the day you purchased it.

Wilful Negligence

If it’s determined that faults in the design, advice, instructions, or specifications were intentionally made with the aim to cause harm, the policy won’t be activated. Consequently, it won’t cover legal fees, costs, compensation, or any other related expenses associated with the claim.

Illegal Violations

Professional indemnity insurance can only provide coverage for legal fees, compensation, and related expenses if no illegal violations were committed by the professional or company. In the event of such violations, the policy would not cover any expenses associated with the claim as it falls outside the legal boundaries.

Negligences Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol

If it’s demonstrated that the fault in the design, advice, specifications or instructions were due to the influence of drugs or alcohol, the insurance won’t cover any associated costs to the claim such as legal fees or compensation. In this case, you’d need to face all the financial consequences on your own.

Always Discuss the Exclusions and Limitations of the Policy Before Buying It

Additional exclusions may be applicable to your policy, highlighting the importance of discussing these with your broker. Understanding the limitations and regulations governing your policy is essential. Failure to do so could leave you vulnerable in the event of a client filing a claim against you.

Therefore, we encourage you to request a free quote from a qualified broker such as Compariqo, because they also offer free customer service, to help you pick the right PII policy for your needs and goals.

How to Get the Ideal PI Insurance Policy

If you are ready to invest in PI insurance, here you have the best tips on how to get the ideal policy for your own needs and goals.

Share All The Available Information

To ensure the policy adequately covers all legal fees and costs involved in defending against a client’s claim, it’s crucial to provide the insurer with comprehensive information about your profession and business. This includes details about previous claims, as well as information about your services and products. Full disclosure is essential to prevent potential issues and ensure adequate protection.

Pick an Insured Sum Based on the Risks of Your Business

Selecting an insured sum should be tailored to the specific risks and challenges your business faces. It’s crucial to obtain a detailed quote and collaborate with a reputable broker such as Compariqo. This ensures you determine the optimal insured sum for your business, actively protecting it and providing the peace of mind you require.

It’s important to carefully examine the limitations and exclusions of the policy to ensure it effectively protects your business in the event of a client’s claim. Man United injury news v Bournemouth: Latest updates on Rashford, McTominay

Manchester United will make late decisions on the fitness of Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford for their trip to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday (5.30pm GMT), manager Erik ten Hag has said.

Midfielder McTominay missed United’s 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool on Sunday with a knee problem, while forward Rashford asked to be substituted because of an issue he sustained during the second half.

“I don’t think so,” Ten Hag said when he was asked about the Scotland international’s prospects of playing, calling his participation “very questionable”.

“We have a day. He will push – he is so keen to be a part of it tomorrow. Rashy trained yesterday, so [it depends upon] how he recovered from it today. We have another training session [on Friday] and then we will make a decision on it.”

Sixth-placed United are a point above West Ham and two clear of eighth-placed Newcastle, accelerating their need to exact revenge over the Cherries for a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford in December.

“We were mentally not ready for that game,” said Ten Hag. “They battled and we lost the battles.

“Tomorrow will not be different – that is the way they want to play. They want to fight with you.

“So you go into that fight and have the conviction and belief. You need to support each other to win battles, to outplay them, outrun them and defend to match their runs.”

Bournemouth v Man United: Ten Hag ‘happy’

Bournemouth had won four times as part of a five-match unbeaten run before losing 2-1 at Luton Town last Saturday.

Manager Andoni Iraola was named the Premier League manager of the month for March on Friday, and victory could return the Spaniard’s side to the top half of the table.

Ten Hag also discussed John Murtough’s decision to step down from his position as United’s football director after 11 years at the club.

“I miss his support,” said Ten Hag, adding that he is working “closely together” in a “very good” relationship with the new owners of the club’s football operations , led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

“It will not change – it doesn’t have an impact on the way I can work here. The conditions were perfect; they are still perfect. I am happy with that but we want to set the right conditions to be successful.”

Manchester City boss Guardiola says Haaland can improve areas of his game

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola agrees that Erling Haaland has areas of his game that require improvement, but insists that is the same for every player.

Haaland has come in for renewed criticism this week – most notably from Sky pundit Roy Keane, who claimed the Norway international resembled a “League Two player” in his build-up play – as the fall-out from his performance against Arsenal two weeks ago continued.

Guardiola says former Borussia Dortmund star Haaland, 23, can get better, as can everyone else.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s home game with Luton Town at the Etihad, Guardiola said: “He’s a young player and in some departments he needs to improve.

“But that is like a player who is 33 years old who has margin to improve.

“Until you retire you can improve.”

Haaland, who has scored 30 goals in all competitions this season to follow on from 52 in his debut campaign in England, was again quiet in the 3-3 Champions League draw at Real Madrid in midweek but Guardiola believes that showed the difficulty of playing as a lone striker.

He added: “We scored three goals but he had two central defenders really close to him. It’s the most difficult position on the pitch. Every player has one player [marking them] but strikers have two central defenders.”

Haaland finished second in voting for the 2023 Ballon d’Or and asked what improvements he has to make to take the next step, Guardiola said: “Play more minutes, learn what you have to do, the gameplan…

“But the Ballon d’Or is not the target. The target is the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup. He did that. Would we have won five trophies last year without him? Not a chance.”

Key City midfielder Rodri suggested he needed a rest after the game in Madrid in midweek and Guardiola says he is willing to accommodate that request if possible.

He added: “If your player doesn’t want to play, he won’t play and another one will play. If he’s tired, that can happen, someone else will play.

“But it’s not just Rodri. I will have to rest central defenders but we don’t have them. If players get injured in friendly games…

City head into the weekend in third, a point behind Arsenal and Liverpool, with seven games to go.

They squeezed past Luton 2-1 in the league in December before an emphatic 6-2 FA Cup success in February.

Guardiola added: “The Premier League is so important and I expect a similar game to the one that we won in the league, rather than the FA Cup. We still have a month fighting for the title. We know the position we are in and we can’t drop points.”

UFC Manchester 2024: White speaks out on date for massive MMA event in UK

UFC president Dana White has confirmed that the promotion will hold an event in Manchester which is expected to take place in July 2024.

The best-known MMA promotion in the world is hugely popular in the UK but the country has not hosted a card since July 2023, when home fighter Tom Aspinall beat Marcin Tybura at London’s O2 Arena.

“When we get a date, we’ll let you know – but we’re definitely going to Manchester,” White said at a press conference for UFC 300, which takes place in Las Vegas this weekend.

Four previous UFC events have headed to Manchester, most recently when Michael Bisping retained his middleweight title against Dan Henderson in October 2016.

Interim heavyweight champion Aspinall, who comes from nearby Salford, has said he believes the event will be on pay-per-view in July.

“That’s what I’m hearing,” Aspinall told The MMA Hour this week, adding that the bill could be held at the new £365 million Co-op Live indoor arena, which is scheduled to open this month. “I’ll find out this weekend.”

UFC in Manchester: Event card

Aspinall would be the most likely candidate to headline again, potentially facing Curtis Blaydes – the fighter he lost to in cruel fashion when he suffered a serious knee injury within seconds of the start of their fight in London in July 2022.

Birmingham’s Leon Edwards, who is the current welterweight champion, would also be a popular choice to feature, having twice appeared on Manchester cards before.

Edwards secured a second successive win over Kamaru Usman in the headline bout of the sell-out UFC 286 at the O2 Arena in March 2023.

Featherweight Nathaniel Wood is rumoured to be lined up for the Manchester event, and Liverpudlian lightweight Paddy Pimblett is also keen to be involved.

Businessman White will oversee the UFC’s 700th event this year, with the first officially taking place in Denver in November 1993.

Almost 500 have been held in the US. Brazil, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and Japan are among a wide range of other countries the promotion has visited.
