Salford police appeal for information following ‘assault’

Salford police want to make sure a man is safe and well after appearing to be attacked.

Officers received reports that the man was forced into an unknown car at around 2.15am on Thursday.

A member of the public reported seeing the incident and an image has been released following further investigations.

Detective sergeant Adam Kay, from Salford CID, said: “The witness reported seeing two males kicking the victim, who then willingly appeared to get into a car that drove off in the direction of Everard Street.

“There is currently no description of the car and we are appealing for any information that might help us identify the man – we want to make sure he is safe and well, and isn’t wanted for any crime.
