Lazy Sundae to open new Manchester outlet

The popular Manchester-based dessert shop, Lazy Sundae, has chosen Manchester Arndale for its second location in the city, agreeing to take a 1,305 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease.

The home-grown ice cream parlour opened its first outlet in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and has since gone from strength to strength. Showcasing an internationally inspired menu of premium bubble tea, souffle pancakes and artisan ice creams, guests are able to taste the flavours of the tropics, from Bali and Thailand to Malaysia and Taiwan.

Already a firm favourite in the Northern Quarter, Lazy Sundae will bring its unique concept to Manchester Arndale, further adding to the centre’s diverse food and drinks offer which ranges from coffee shops and cafes to international restaurant chains including Creams, Slim Chickens, Kokoro, Jamaica Blue, Tim Hortons and Pizza Luxe, as well as other emerging local operators such as Bubble CiTea.

These brands sit alongside Manchester Arndale’s eclectic mix of UK and international retailers which makes it one of the North West’s premium retail and leisure destinations.

Scott Linard, Portfolio Director at M&G Real Estate, said: “We’re delighted that an up and coming brand like Lazy Sundae has chosen Manchester Arndale for its newest location. We place great importance in having a truly mixed offer and its fantastic to be able to support local brands as they expand. With such exciting leasing activity taking place, including recent retail lettings to MINISO, Gilly Hicks and Clarks, its clear operators across the board have long-term confidence in the centre. As we move into the new year, we hope to continue this bumper run, cementing Manchester Arndale as a dynamic and vibrant retail destination with a varied line up of exciting retail, F&B and leisure.”

A Spokesperson for Lazy Sundae added: “We are very excited to be joining Manchester Arndale. The site will form the flagship store for Lazy Sundae as part of our nationwide expansion plans. Customers will be transported to far corners of the world through our travel inspired offerings.”

Metis Real Estate and Time Retail Partners are Manchester Arndale’s retained letting agents.
