UK’s no 1 supplier of Caribbean food & drink celebrates barbecuing in autumn

It may be autumn and thoughts of summer barbecues are just a distant memory, but there is no question that the temperatures are milder than previous years so al-fresco dining has carried on well into the autumn this year. 

And with the World Cup just around the corner and lots of football fans looking to entertain friends and family while they cheer on the Three Lions, the UK’s number one supplier of Caribbean food and drink believes it’s never too late in the year to cook outside.

Grace Foods UK is offering foodies in Manchester and the northwest the chance to celebrate National Jerk Day and be in with the chance of winning a premium barbecue worth £349 and two cases of Grace Jamaican-style Jerk BBQ sauce and Dunn’s River Seasoning, which are the perfect sauces and seasonings to marinade meat, fish and vegetables before cooking them on a barbecue.

Vandu Patel, Marketing Manager at Grace Foods UK, says: “We are in the middle of autumn so it may seem a bit strange to be talking about barbecue but it has been an incredibly mild autumn so far and people have continued dining outside to make the most of the weather. 

“But everything feels a bit strange this year, particularly with the World Cup taking place so late in the year for the very first time. At Grace, we celebrated National Jerk Day this week, which celebrates the Jamaican way of seasoning and grilling food. The jerk style of cooking originated in Jamaica and our Jamaican-style Jerk BBQ Sauce and Jamaican Jerk Seasonings are one of the original jerk sauces to be available in the UK.

“So we thought why not celebrate National Jerk Day by giving our followers on Instagram the chance to win a barbecue worth £349 and two cases of Grace Jamaican-style Jerk BBQ sauce and Dunn’s River Seasoning. We may seem crazy but there has been lots of change this year so we thought why not follow the trend!”
