New Research Unveils Remarkable 93% Accuracy Rate for AI Cancer Prediction Platform

Groundbreaking research into the accuracy of an AI cancer prediction platform has unveiled a significant achievement: it correctly identified the risk of cancer type in 93% of cases, potentially marking a pivotal advancement in early cancer diagnosis.

The study, involving an analysis of 100,000 patients, is set to be published in full in the coming months and sought to assess the accuracy of C the Signs in predicting the origin of cancer for patients within a real-world healthcare setting.

C the Signs is a clinical platform that seamlessly integrates with electronic health records (EHR) and utilises artificial intelligence to assist in identifying patients at risk of cancer.

Early analysis of the study’s findings suggests that cancer prediction platforms like C the Signs can effectively and accurately pinpoint the origin of tumours in patients presenting with vague symptoms. This capability can facilitate targeted investigations tailored to the specific type of tumour.

The preliminary findings were presented in an oral presentation at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Quality Care Symposium in Boston on October 28.

Dr. Bea Bakshi, Co-founder of C The Signs, expressed their delight, stating, “We were delighted to present the initial findings of our study, which has shown promising results for the effectiveness of our C the Signs AI technology. Our technology is already being used by over 10,000 healthcare professionals, and while further research is required to identify which cancers can be most accurately detected taking a computational approach, we are very optimistic about these initial findings and firmly believe that they could revolutionise the way cancer risk is assessed in the future.”

C the Signs is used by primary care physicians (PCPs) during point-of-care assessments. It analyses the patient’s symptoms, along with clinical data from the EHR, to identify current cancer risk, predict the site of origin of the tumour, and recommend the most suitable diagnostic or referral pathway.

Marwick Marketing’s Phenomenal 124% Growth Amid the Digital Marketing Revolution

As the digital landscape rapidly evolves, businesses are facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities in the realm of digital marketing. Marwick Marketing, a forward-thinking digital marketing agency, has not only embraced these changes but has thrived, experiencing a staggering 124% growth in recent times.

The digital marketing landscape has undergone a seismic shift since 2020, rendering traditional marketing strategies ineffective in 2024. Business owners and marketing managers are grappling with the need to adapt to new practices and stay at the forefront of the industry. Many find themselves bewildered by the complexities of Meta and advertising on Meta’s platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Moreover, a significant number of them admit to having little understanding of the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in marketing.

While these challenges are currently top of mind for business leaders, a major transformation is on the horizon, with a countdown of 12 to 24 months – the emergence of the Search Generative Experience.

The Search Generative Experience leverages advanced machine learning (AI) techniques to generate organic search results and recommendations, poised to impact every online business.

Matt Burns, Head of SEO at Marwick Marketing, explains, “The way we search, and subsequently optimise websites, is condensing queries into short, broad keywords. However, as Google advances in comprehending longer and more specific requests with AI, a subtle shift is underway. In the coming months, we anticipate transitioning towards longer-tail, low-volume queries as users embrace a more natural language approach. For companies adopting this as part of their SEO strategy, they will see bigger wins in the future over competitors who do not.”

However, it’s not just the adoption of AI and new marketing platforms that will catch businesses off guard; it’s the rapid pace of change.

Marwick Marketing’s CEO, Chris Thomson, highlights the urgency of staying ahead of the curve, drawing parallels with Google’s transition from desktop to mobile indexing. He says, “It took seven years for Google to shift from indexing websites on desktop to mobile fully. Google officially announced its mobile-first indexing initiative in November 2016, which has only recently finished rolling out. Mobile-first indexing means that Google primarily uses the mobile version of a website’s content for indexing and ranking, rather than the desktop version. Many companies were slow to make the shift, losing SEO rankings to their competitors. This gave forward-thinking business owners an upper hand against established brands. The transition to a Search Generative Experience presents a much higher significant opportunity for visionary business owners and marketing teams. Still, the window of advantage will be much shorter than the mobile-first shift – approximately 12 to 24 months.”

Looking ahead, the future of business in the era of generative AI is promising. Advanced AI algorithms will personalise and refine search results, elevating user experiences and delivering targeted information. Businesses that embrace these advancements and leverage AI-driven insights will effectively engage their target audiences and gain a competitive edge.

Generative AI’s evolution opens up new avenues for businesses to harness data, analytics, and emerging technologies. By staying informed about generative AI developments, businesses can adapt their strategies, deliver exceptional user experiences, and capitalise on the sweeping changes that lie ahead to position themselves for lasting success.

Stanislav Kondrashov’s Insightful Study of the Historical Development of Transport

In his latest publication, titled “The Evolution of transport by Stanislav Kondrashov,” Stanislav Kondrashov offers a comprehensive exploration of how human mobility has evolved throughout history. He delves into the various methods and modes of transportation that have enabled people to traverse distances, from relying on specific animals like horses to the modern conveniences of contemporary transportation.

Kondrashov places particular emphasis on the remarkable speed that has characterised the evolution of transportation in recent centuries, fundamentally transforming the lives of individuals and shrinking the geographical gaps between locations on Earth. The publication begins by recounting historical periods where horse-drawn transportation played a pivotal role. Horses were not only utilised for short-distance travel but also served as essential military vehicles.

According to the author, during this era, humans harnessed the “true power” embodied by horses, evident in their swift trot and the remarkable speeds they could attain during journeys. Transport facilitated by horses, Kondrashov contends, played a defining role in shaping societies and individual cities.

The subsequent phase, as explained by Stanislav Kondrashov, saw the advent of steam engines and railways. These innovations not only shortened distances between different countries but also interconnected them in ways previously unimaginable.

In 1903, the era of aviation commenced, thanks to the pioneering vision of the Wright brothers. Kondrashov mentions the initial wooden airplanes and the modern airliners, providing a comprehensive and exhaustive overview of the remarkable evolution of air transportation means.

To illustrate the significance of airplanes, the author draws a direct connection to the vast skies, which have now become playgrounds for the enjoyment of both men and women, all made possible by aviation technology. According to Kondrashov, this technological progress also shattered the previously perceived limit of the sky, which had seemed insurmountable. Stanislav Kondrashov further delves into the impact of automobiles, which, in the twentieth century, revolutionised the lives of individuals and the societies in which they lived.

For a more in-depth exploration of these fascinating insights, we encourage readers to delve into the full publication and accompanying video.

The Turkish glass industry is gaining in momentum internationally, with exports exceeding US$ 12 billion to 175 countries over the past decade. Chairperson of METIS Consulting, Başak Taşdelen Efe, evaluates the potential of Turkish manufacturers in the glass supply sector and the industry’s latest developments.

London The Turkish glass industry is on a remarkable upward trajectory, with manufacturers set to showcase their latest innovations at the upcoming Eurasia Glass Fair in Istanbul, scheduled for November 11-14. In anticipation of this prestigious event, Başak Taşdelen Efe, Chairperson of METIS Consulting, a leading façade and glass solutions company, highlighted the increasing global demand for glass supply from Turkish manufacturers. Efe emphasized that the Eurasia Glass Fair provides an ideal platform for forging new business partnerships, inviting international investors seeking to explore the potential of Turkish manufacturers to join the event.

According to a recent report from Glass Alliance Europe, Turkiye stands out as one of the top three supplier countries in Europe, accounting for 11.4% of Europe’s 5.5 million tonnes of glass imports. The nation, which has significantly ramped up its glass production in recent years, now ranks among the world’s largest glass producers.

Taşdelen Efe commented, “Over the last decade, Türkiye’s glass industry has achieved remarkable export figures, surpassing US$ 12 billion. In 2022 alone, our industry secured over US$ 1.5 billion in exports, achieving a domestic added value ratio of 79% and making substantial contributions to the Turkish economy. METIS Consulting, specializing in façade consultancy for large-scale projects, is steadily expanding its presence in the sector year after year. As we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye, we firmly believe that the glass industry will play an important role in shaping our country’s second century.”

Turkiye is a formidable force with 4.2 million tonnes in glass production annually

Başak Taşdelen Efe underscored the significant strides made by the Turkish glass industry in the global marketplace, particularly in the wake of supply chain disruptions. She commented, “Our industry has emerged as a formidable force in glass production, particularly in the realm of value-added products, featuring a production capacity of 4.2 million tonnes. Our success is due to our unwavering commitment to high product quality, the ingenuity of our workforce, and a steadfast adherence to on-time delivery principles. Consequently, we have not only deepened our presence in existing markets but have also made successful forays into new territories.”

“With over two decades of experience in façade and glass solutions, our footprint extends well beyond Türkiye to cities such as Toronto, New York, London, Luxembourg, and Tel Aviv. We offer comprehensive services, spanning from concept development to façade consultancy and product procurement, to guide investors effectively. Through our efforts, we contribute to the increased adoption of glass, a sustainable solution that aligns with the environmental needs of our planet.”

Metis Consulting connects global investors and Turkish glass manufacturers

Highlighting the environmental significance of glass as a fully recyclable material, Taşdelen Efe went on to emphasize, “It’s crucial to recognize that architectural glass is a key component in the fight against climate change. The utilization of coated glass in buildings not only leads to energy conservation but also serves as a critical driver in realizing the objectives outlined in the Paris Climate Agreement and mitigating global warming. Furthermore, the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including automation, digitalization, the incorporation of cullet, and the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions, further enhances this efficiency.”

She concluded her remarks by stating, “Turkish glass manufacturers are actively taking measures to safeguard our planet and reduce carbon emissions in production, thereby minimizing the impact of carbon taxation. We serve as intermediaries, connecting investors from across the globe with the immense potential of Turkish manufacturers, fostering sustainable practices, and contributing to our shared goal of environmental preservation.”

Survey Exposes UK Public’s Apprehensions Regarding AI’s Effects on Job Security

0

A recent survey conducted in the UK has unveiled a notable public concern regarding job security in the age of AI. The survey results indicate that job security ranks among the top worries for respondents. Surprisingly, this concern received little attention at the recent AI Security Summit, despite its far-reaching implications for the workforce and the nation as a whole.

The survey, carried out by The Boost, a newsletter focused on AI in marketing, has brought to light the fact that the UK public is nearly as anxious about AI-related job security as they are about AI security itself.

This finding underscores the urgent necessity for governments to address the human aspect of AI advancements.

The survey results also highlight a growing demand for AI education and training. Tim O’Shea, the founder of The Boost, has observed a surge in new subscribers who have recently lost their jobs to AI technology and are now eager to acquire AI knowledge to re-enter the job market.

“We’ve noticed a significant increase in subscribers who have lost their jobs to AI and are keen to gain AI knowledge to reintegrate into the job market,” Tim O’Shea commented on the growing readership of The Boost.

The survey posed the question, “What worries you most about AI?” and received responses from 660 UK participants:

What worries you most about AI?

  • Possible job losses – 27.9%
  • Security issues – 34.4%
  • Another issue – 12.6%
  • I’m not worried – 25.2%

Tim O’Shea stressed the urgency of embracing AI education on a national level. “Without a concerted effort to educate our workforce in AI, we risk not only job security but also our overall security as a nation,” Tim O’Shea emphasised.

The call for AI education and upskilling is not only about safeguarding job security but also positioning the UK as a global leader in AI innovation and productivity.

New Technology Solution Aims to Prevent Over a Million Electronic Devices from Ending Up in Landfills

Lombard, NatWest Group’s leading asset finance provider in the UK, is joining forces with Rigby Capital and SCC to offer comprehensive technology services that empower businesses to invest in technology, access necessary services, and align with sustainability objectives.

Lombard, the asset finance arm of NatWest Group, is teaming up with Rigby Capital and SCC to introduce an innovative as-a-service solution aimed at diverting over a million electronic devices, including company mobile phones and laptops, from landfills within the next five years. This collaborative effort will provide businesses with an end-to-end technology solution designed to enhance the efficiency of their IT infrastructure while minimising the environmental impact associated with the disposal and replacement of electronic devices.

Electronic waste (e-waste) is currently the world’s fastest-growing waste stream, posing a significant environmental threat. Annually, approximately 50 million tonnes of e-waste are generated globally, with only 20% undergoing proper recycling. If corrective measures are not taken, this volume is projected to more than double by 2050, reaching a staggering 120 million tonnes per year.

By partnering with Rigby Capital and SCC, Lombard aims to simplify the process for businesses seeking to reduce electronic waste and contribute to the circular economy, with SCC committing to a zero-waste-to-landfill policy. Through this groundbreaking collaboration, businesses will gain access to an all-in-one solution that supports them in procuring and implementing the necessary hardware and software, managing essential services, and documenting the recycling and reuse of electronic devices at the end of their lifecycles through established secondary market channels. Furthermore, businesses opting for this as-a-service solution to fulfill their technology needs will benefit from the convenience and flexibility it offers under a single contract.

Ian Isaac, Managing Director of Lombard, commented: “Today’s businesses need to invest in up-to-date tech to achieve sustainable growth, but they are under pressure to reduce their carbon footprint. That’s why Lombard is supporting a complete solution that enables businesses to access the technology they need to thrive, whilst reducing the wastage involved in the refresh of IT assets. Through this unique collaboration with Rigby Capital and the broader Rigby Group, we can not only help businesses access the technology they need, but also help them to achieve their sustainability goals. Over the next five years we believe that this solution will help to  stop at least a million electronic devices like mobile phones and laptops from becoming landfill.”

Simon Everidge, Managing Director of Rigby Capital, added: “We are delighted to support Lombard through our close collaboration, enabling them to help their customers achieve their ESG objectives. IT asset finance is no longer just about funding, it’s about full life cycle management of assets and particularly the management of end-of-life assets. Rigby Capital and the operational capabilities in SCC, with its market-leading IT recycling facilities, can provide complete end-to-end management of IT assets for Lombard and its customers. The circular economy and ESG demands on everyone in the supply chain, including customers, suppliers, funders, asset managers and manufacturers, is only going to intensify in the next five years; we are delighted to collaborate with Lombard and jointly commit to helping support the ESG agenda.”
