Super Bowl LVIII: Kansas City Chiefs v San Francisco 49ers – Preview, key players, how to watch and prediction

The state of play

After 272 regular-season games and some thrilling playoff battles between the best teams in the NFL, the 2023 campaign ends with Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, with Las Vegas hosting the biggest game in American football for the first time.

The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping to become just the eighth team to win back-to-back Super Bowls, and the first since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots in the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

The Chiefs flattered to deceive for much of this season, posting fewer wins (11) than in any previous campaign since superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes became their starter in 2018.

Relying heavily on Mahomes’ connection with tight end Travis Kelce, whose romance with Taylor Swift has been perhaps the story of the campaign, the Chiefs have looked one dimensional at times, lacking top-class receivers elsewhere.

However, Andy Reid’s team relish the playoffs, and they have stepped things up to beat the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens – both of whom were among the Super Bowl favourites – on the road in their last two games.

The Chiefs have poured resources into their defense in recent years, and that certainly paid dividends against the Ravens in the AFC Championship game two weeks ago, as Steve Spagnuolo’s D-line dominated newly crowned NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, forcing three turnovers in a 17-10 win.

On the other side of the ball, it’s all about Mahomes, who has carried the Kansas City offense this year. Always reliable on the big stage, Mahomes didn’t throw an interception in last year’s successful playoff run and is also yet to do so this year. The Chiefs’ hopes are certainly in safe hands.

A POST SHARED BY PATRICK MAHOMES II (@PATRICKMAHOMES)

Mahomes’ first Super Bowl triumph came against the 49ers four years ago, and Kyle Shanahan’s team are eyeing revenge on Sunday.

They finished the regular season with a 12-5 record before overcoming the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions in the playoffs, edging two close-run games by three points. They looked like Super Bowl contenders right from Week 1, with Shanahan directing one of the most dynamic offenses in the league.

Electric running back Christian McCaffrey was the only non-quarterback among the MVP finalists after leading the league for regular-season rushing yards (1,459) and ranking fourth for rushing touchdowns (14).

The Chiefs will have to be alert to McCaffrey’s powerful running style, but the 49ers have a versatile offensive unit with Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle among the league’s best receivers.

If you like an underdog story, you might just find yourself rooting for 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, the last pick of the 2022 draft.

Having earned the unwanted moniker of ‘Mr. Irrelevant’, Purdy has been anything but this season. He ranked fifth among all quarterbacks for regular-season passing yards (4,280) and third for touchdown passes (29), and he joined team-mate McAffrey on the five-man shortlist for MVP honours.

What matters most to Purdy, though, is capturing the ultimate team prize, particularly after his elbow injury cost the 49ers a spot in last year’s Super Bowl. Surrounded by talent, he has the tools to go toe-to-toe with Mahomes.

Battling it out in the entertainment capital of the world, Mahomes and Purdy should provide plenty of fireworks.

Key players

The quarterbacks: Patrick Mahomes v Brock Purdy

Mahomes had a down year by his lofty standards, but as is so often the case, he has looked a player transformed in the playoffs. The ultra-reliable 28-year-old completed 30 of 39 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown against the Ravens last time out, finding his favourite target Kelce for that score.

While the Mahomes-Kelce partnership looks like Kansas City’s main route to victory, the 49ers are less reliant on moments of magic from Purdy, who has a series of elite targets to aim for.

‘Mr. Irrelevant’ produced a talismanic performance in the NFC Championship game against the Detroit Lions, throwing for 267 yards and running for 48 as the 49ers overturned a 17-point deficit. Purdy is a threat through the air and with his feet, and the Chiefs’ defense must get to him quickly.

The tight ends: Travis Kelce v George Kittle

Kelce’s love life has made headlines this season and attracted a swathe of new fans to the league, but on the field, he’s one of the best to ever play the role of tight end.

Like Mahomes, Kelce has had an up-and-down season, but he has his own love story with the playoffs and was back to his best in Baltimore last week, making 11 catches including one for a touchdown.

Kelce’s 984 receiving yards put him second among all tight ends in 2023, with San Francisco’s Kittle leading the way with 1,020. A survivor of the 49ers team beaten by Kansas City at Super Bowl LIV, Kittle is a larger-than-life character and will be determined to play a central role on Sunday.

The running backs: Isiah Pacheco v Christian McAffrey

One of the NFL’s most powerful running backs, Pacheco rushed for a game-high 68 yards against the Ravens in the AFC Championship. While the Chiefs are not known as a run-heavy team, he could have a crucial role to play if Sunday’s game becomes a tense, low-scoring affair.

If the 49ers are to capture the Vince Lombardi Trophy, Offensive Player of the Year McAffrey will certainly be at the forefront of their success.

San Francisco’s move to trade him from the Carolina Panthers in 2022 has been a masterstroke; he led the league for regular-season rushing yards by a huge margin this season, finishing nearly 300 clear of the Tennessee Titans’ Derrick Henry in second.

What they said

Chiefs head coach Reid on the 49ers being slight favourites:

“I understand why we’re the underdog – I get that – we had some ups and downs during the season. I never feel like an underdog going into a game, but I understand why it’s been situated that way. It is what it is.

“It’s crazy how, in the playoffs, every game’s a little faster, the higher you go up in the playoffs. It’s fast, but it’s still the game. You’re professionals, arguably one of 32 guys at your position in the whole world, so you go play and do your job.”

Kelce on whether questions about Taylor Swift are a distraction:

“I think it’s fair. I mean, everyone’s having fun with it. Everybody’s having a good time with it. So, how could I be upset about it? She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books. I told her I need to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware too.”

Purdy on his journey from ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ to Super Bowl starter:

“It’s been crazy, just how it’s unfolded over the last two years of playing, being drafted last, becoming starter and now playing in the Super Bowl.

“It was just about taking it one day at a time, trying to learn the playbook, compete and see if I could play well in this league. I focused on that and everything else fell into place.”

When, where and how to watch

Sunday’s game will take place at Allegiant Stadium – home to the Las Vegas Raiders – and will kick off at 11:30pm UK time. Both Sky Sports and ITV are broadcasting the game live in the UK.

Usher will be the star of the half-time show, after the likes of Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd took centre-stage in recent years.

Prediction

Sunday’s game is a difficult one to call, pitting perhaps the NFL’s most well-rounded offense against the single most talented player of his generation.

The 49ers looked far more impressive during the regular season and can blow any team away with their varied offensive approach, but the Kansas City defense has frustrated three elite units in the playoffs, giving Mahomes a platform to work his magic against the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo and Baltimore.

It’s tough to look beyond Mahomes, Kelce and Reid in the biggest game of all, so we’re backing the Chiefs to cement their legacy with a 24-21 win. If the 49ers get going early on, though, they might be best-placed to edge an offensive shoot-out.

Learning Curve: For those new to the crypto and trading arena, LeverageSix may present a steep learning curve. While they do offer resources for beginners, a more streamlined onboarding process could make the platform more accessible to a broader audience.

In Conclusion: A Journey of Excitement and Learning

In my journey with LeverageSix, I’ve encountered a mix of excitement and a learning curve. The platform’s commitment to innovation and its comprehensive approach to trading are evident.

However, simplifying the fee structure and enhancing the onboarding process for beginners would undoubtedly elevate the user experience.

Navigating financial success in the crypto world is no small feat, but with the right tools and a platform like LeverageSix, the journey becomes a captivating exploration rather than a daunting challenge.

Comprehensive review of EXANTE for professional traders

This review delves into the specifics of EXANTE with the aim to delineate the broker’s suitability for both corporate entities and individual traders contemplating opening accounts.

Specifically, in this review, we will look at who EXANTE is and examine their products and services, as well as any added-value tools and solutions they provide to both retail traders (private individuals) and corporate entities.

Before we begin, it is important to state that EXANTE positions all its traders as professional clients, thereby offering low fees coupled with high initial deposit requirements. Given that EXANTE targets sophisticated investors, the majority of potential clients may find that the broker has a higher barrier to market entry with its specific account prerequisites.

Nevertheless, this review offers insight into the broker and its services for those who are
interested in EXANTE’s solutions and would like to create a live investment account.

What is EXANTE?

EXANTE stands as a renowned global fintech brand and trading platform, granting access to
an extensive selection of financial instruments for traders around the world, particularly
those in the European Union (EU).

Catering to both private and institutional clients across the globe, EXANTE is regulated by several esteemed financial jurisdictions, including the UK’s FCA, Hong Kong’s SFC, Malta’s MFSA, and Cyprus’ CySEC. These regulatory bodies impose stringent requirements on EXANTE regarding client money protection, reporting, and fund segregation.

Established in 2011 with the mission to provide global access to financial markets, EXANTE
has solidified its position as a preferred fintech brand among professional traders. The
platform offers seamless trading across major exchanges in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific, accessible via a single multi-currency account.

Over time, EXANTE has evolved into a comprehensive trading solution, notable for its extensive product range, rapid execution speeds, and competitive trading costs. It stands out in the market for its extensive financial instrument assortment, efficient order execution, and stringent data security measures.

EXANTE’s clientele is divided into individual and corporate/institutional clients, each category featuring distinct account types with varying minimum funding requirements and no transferability between individual and corporate accounts. Consequently, this review is structured in two parts to better address the specific interests of potential traders.

EXANTE for private individuals

EXANTE is designed for a professional clientele rather than the typical retail day-trading
market. The minimum deposit for individual accounts starts at €10,000, a barrier that may
deter some retail traders. However, those unable to meet this minimum likely won’t fully benefit from EXANTE’s offerings. If you’re a casual trader or operate on a smaller scale, it may be prudent to consider other platforms.

For those capable of meeting the initial deposit, EXANTE presents substantial advantages,
including competitive spreads and technical support even outside market hours, which is
instrumental in avoiding downtime in trading strategies. Below is a more detailed review of
the EXANTE trading experience for private individuals:

Product range

EXANTE’s product range is exceptionally diverse, offering access to a wide array of financial
instruments, including derivatives and traditional assets like equities, metals, bonds,
options, futures, and forex. The platform lists over a million products, ensuring traders have comprehensive market access from a single multicurrency account, simplifying trading
operations.

User experience and platform

The EXANTE platform is user-friendly and MetaTrader-compatible, accessible on desktop
(Windows, macOS, Linux), mobile (iOS and Android), and via web browsers. Features such as trade monitoring, account transfers, and precise order management contribute to a
customisable and straightforward trading experience. The platform’s robust security,
including two-factor authentication (2FA), offers added reassurance to traders managing
significant investments.

EXANTE for corporate account holders

For corporate and institutional clients, EXANTE offers services tailored to investment
professionals within brokerages, investment management firms, or family offices. Corporate accounts require a minimum deposit of €50,000, aligning with industry norms. The trading experience mirrors that of individual accounts, offering a broad spectrum of tradable assets and derivatives for comprehensive market coverage.

Product range

The product range for corporate accounts matches that of the individual platform, with
EXANTE’s product teams actively expanding market access based on client demand.

The availability of over 900,000 options contracts exemplifies EXANTE’s commitment to meeting the specific risk management and hedging needs of professional and institutional clients.

User experience and platform

In addition to MetaTrader 4 (MT4) compatibility and other features detailed previously,
EXANTE enables direct market access for clients through its platform. The option for white-label solutions caters to investment managers and private wealth managers aiming for a branded client experience. Trading costs remain competitive, with rapid execution and a versatile order system enhancing the platform’s appeal for both internal trading teams and client-facing wealth managers.

Overall impression of EXANTE

EXANTE distinguishes itself as a versatile trading platform adept at serving the varied
requirements of both corporate traders and private individuals. As a regulated fintech entity
offering global market access, EXANTE impresses with its feature-rich platform.

Despite the
high minimum account balances emphasising its focus on qualified investors, EXANTE may
not suit newcomers or those with limited capital. However, for well-informed traders and
corporate entities seeking comprehensive market access and advanced trading tools,
EXANTE offers a compelling solution.

In conclusion, EXANTE’s broad product offerings, sophisticated trading environment, and
commitment to security and regulatory compliance render it an excellent choice for
managing investments. While the high entry threshold and complex trading tools may pose
challenges for novices, the platform is rewarding for experienced traders

UK Biobank prepares for construction at Bruntwood SciTech’s Manchester Science Park

The secretary of state for science, innovation and technology visited the future site of a new £75 million research centre in Manchester.

Michelle Donelan attended Bruntwood SciTech’s Manchester Science Park to officially mark UK Biobank’s new site ready for construction by completing planting of a ‘living wall’, which will increase biodiversity and improve air quality.

UK Biobank is a comprehensive source of health data used for research, providing access to de-identified data to approved researchers worldwide.

The cutting-edge 131,000 sq ft new building, of which UK Biobank will occupy three floors, will include laboratory space and a latest-generation robotic freezer that stores and retrieves 20 million biological samples four times faster than before, revolutionising the pace of scientific discovery.

The new centre is due to open in 2026 and will house UK Biobank’s biological samples, laboratories, headquarters and around half of its 250 staff.

UK Biobank will be located alongside fast-growth life science businesses working in diagnostics, genomics, biotech and precision medicine in the highly specialist purpose-built building, which includes specialist labs and features such as increased vibration resistance, piped gas distribution systems, enhanced cooling and ventilation systems, high security access and 100GB superfast connectivity.

The new facility will be 100% electric and net zero carbon in construction and operation in its shared spaces – one of the first lab spaces in the UK to be so.

Michelle Donelan said: “UK Biobank makes an unparalleled contribution to science across the whole world, by putting invaluable information at researchers’ fingertips. It is already unlocking insights with the potential to detect Parkinson’s sooner, and tackle heart disease. It is without question a jewel in the crown of UK science, and an envy of the world. UK Biobank’s new home at Manchester Science Park – supported with an accelerated £21 million from Government – will mean it has the state-of-the-art facilities it needs, to keep its place at the forefront of our understanding of human health.”

Professor Dame Ottoline Leyser DBE FRS, chief executive of UKRI, said: “UK Biobank is a unique resource, powering research and innovation in the biomedical sciences, creating jobs, and connecting pioneering organisations. UKRI is investing significantly in UK Biobanks’ future.”

The campus is one of the UK’s most well-established life science and technology hubs, home to 150 startups, scaleups, and globally leading businesses, and is located within the heart of the Oxford Road Corridor innovation district – Europe’s largest clinical academic campus.

Supported by the University of Manchester, the new building importantly puts UK Biobank near leading institutions operating across research, academia, business and the NHS.

Dr Kath Mackay, chief scientific officer for Bruntwood SciTech, said: “The UK’s ambition to be a global leader in life sciences is contingent on the success and continued growth of regional hubs like Manchester Science Park. The arrival of UK Biobank at the campus marks an exciting milestone in its evolution, further cementing its position as one of the UK’s primary locations for innovation, collaboration, and discovery.”

Professor Sir Rory Collins FRS FMedSci, PCEO of UK Biobank, said the new facility is an essential step forward in ensuring that researchers across the globe can more efficiently access tens of millions of samples to turn them into data which can be used to propel research and innovation.

He thanked UKRI, whose generous funds have made the development of the new facility possible.

Charge-M8 Unveils New Range of EV Charger Protection Barriers

0

EV charging experts, Charge-M8, are thrilled to announce their latest line of EV charger protection barriers designed to shield valuable EV charging units from unintended vehicle collisions, while also complying with UK safety standards.

This innovative collection features six distinct products, including steel quad/tri post barriers, steel U barriers available in both narrow and wide dimensions, and rubber wheel stops offered in two sizes, with prices ranging from a mere £29.97 to £268.97.

Charge-M8 makes safeguarding your costly and essential EV charging installations more straightforward than ever. In addition to selling these products, they also provide an installation and securing service, ensuring that your EV charging facilities are well-protected and remain secure for the foreseeable future.

According to the BS IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition codes AG2-AG3, reinforced protection is mandated for areas with a medium or high risk of impact. The IET’s EV Charging Equipment Installation Code of Practice requires that equipment in public spaces must be shielded from impacts of at least AG2 severity, as specified in BS76741 (18th Edition). Charge-M8 advises using robust tyre stops as an initial safeguard, complemented by impact barriers as a secondary measure for instances where tyre stops are bypassed or when a vehicle’s overhang goes beyond their protective range.

Capture

Julian Smith, CEO of Charge-M8 said: “Since launching Charge-M8 impact protection range we’ve received an overwhelming response from the trade and will expand the range further throughout 2024.  The high quality of the products and speed of delivery are the two areas that have been praised in particular which is very pleasing to hear.
The product range came into existence when we were trying to source a consistent supply of impact barriers and tyre stops at an acceptable cost. After numerous cancelled orders, mostly due to incorrect stock availability it seemed like the obvious thing to do was to source our own range and as well as using these for our own projects, offer the range to the wider EV installer network. We’re pleased to be able to help and give peace of mind that their assets are well protected.”

Although designed with EV safeguarding in mind, these barriers are versatile enough for a wide array of applications, such as delineating areas or establishing safety zones, making them ideal for warehouses, storage areas, manufacturing sites, and parking lots.

For immediate dispatch, the product range can be ordered directly online. Installers interested in bulk purchase discounts are encouraged to get in touch with Charge-M8’s Technical Experts, who can assist with identifying specific needs. Simply call us or fill out the enquiry form on our Charge-M8 website, and we will reach out to you.

7 Reasons to Buy a Business in Manchester

0

When you’re choosing which business to buy, location is everything. From demographics to footfall, where you position your business can significantly affect its success.

Thanks to Manchester’s up-and-coming economy and abundance of residents and visitors alike from different backgrounds, it’s becoming one of the go-to British cities to purchase a business. And, with so many Manchester businesses for sale, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Let’s explore the reasons why this bustling Northern city is such a hot spot for business.

  1. Its economy is thriving

Manchester has a growing economy, proven by the fact that plenty of businesses are either starting in Manchester or moving their offices there, as well as the significant percentage that Manchester contribute to the national economy.

With changes underway to move more things up north as a means to ‘level up’ the country, Manchester is only set to thrive further.

  1. It attracts plenty of visitors

While London is naturally seen as the recipient of the majority of the UK’s tourists, the Greater Manchester region sees a whopping 1.15 million visitors flock to its cities and towns every year.

If you plan on buying a business that gets a lot of custom from footfall, such as a shop or restaurant, you’ll benefit greatly from this annual influx of visitors.

  1. It’s home to a range of demographics

Naturally, when you start a business, you have an ideal customer in mind. If you choose to set up shop somewhere where the demographic is skewed one way, your business might miss out.

For example, if your target demographic is Gen Z and you buy a business in an area with an ageing population, you’ll miss out on key customers. Luckily, Manchester is home to a wide range of demographics, so you’re likely to find your target audience there, whoever it is.

  1. The pool of talent

Manchester is home to multiple universities, making it a great spot for hiring graduates. Plus, with 32% of the Greater Manchester population having an NVQ Level 4 or above (equivalent to a bachelor’s degree), you’ve got access to top-tier talent to hire for your new business in Manchester.

  1. It has world-class infrastructure

Manchester’s public transport is incredible, from its tram system to the new ‘Bee Network’ being introduced by Mayor, Andy Burnham.

Plus, there are regular trains to other cities around the UK, so you can easily connect to places like London or Birmingham for meetings. The Greater Manchester area is also easily commutable to the centre, so you can widen your reach for new staff.

  1. Rent and property ownership are cheaper

If the business you’re buying or setting up requires a brick-and-mortar location, the good news is you’re likely to find one for a much lower price in Manchester than you would in areas of the South, such as London or Oxford.

Physical spaces can make up a significant percentage of your outgoings, so by paying less for your rent you can enjoy more of your profits.

  1. It’s a great place for small businesses

So great, in fact, that it was named the UK’s best place for small businesses by a study. There are several businesses in the area that have been around for more than a century. Plus, thanks to Manchester citizens’ pride in their city, many shoppers go above and beyond to prioritise shopping locally.

Whether thanks to its low rental prices, a huge pool of talent, or thriving economy, there are plenty of reasons to buy a business in this vibrant city. Your next step should be to look around for opportunities until you find the right one, then get ready to negotiate for the best deal.

An A to Z Guide for Men who Suffer from Premature Ejaculation

0

Premature ejaculation (PE) is a devastating sexual condition affecting both young and older males. In simple terms it is when a man ejaculates too soon when he is sexually aroused. It can prevent some males from ever having a satisfying sexual relationship and can lead to a spiral downwards in depression.

It is far more common than people think and in fact Sexual therapists in the USA report it as the most common sexual concern of men.  Information on treatments on the web is very bitty. Some manufacturers promote a particular type of treatment, the NHS can provide medication but little else, and it is very difficult for sufferers to find a concise summary of all the options available. In this article we aim to provide an A to Z of premature ejaculation treatments

A.  Pills

The first stop for most people is their local doctor or general practitioner. Meds available include brands such as Paroxetine, Priligy Dapoxetine, Fluoxetine and Sertraline. These tend to be easily available and help for some but for others the effects are limited, and increasingly higher doses are needed. These medications are not without their side effects including nausea, headaches, diarrhoea and nausea.   These drugs aren’t just used for Premature Ejaculation and in fact Sertraline is the first line treatment for depression.

B.  Wipes

Another first line treatment is wipes. As the name suggests these wipes are wiped on your penis including the sides and the head. Their aim is to desensitise the penis, which in turn will lead to longer erections and a delay in ejaculation. They are easy to use and can be wiped on and be effective within a few minutes. They contain a drug called benzocaine. This is a very inexpensive option, and it works, but the biggest problem for users is that the benzocaine can also desensitise their sexual partner and cause irritation. For men that have just started a relationship this can be a cause of huge embarrassment. Wipes are also not very effective for long, and they have to be reapplied.  Thery can be bought at your local chemist or online at stores like Amazon.

C. Sprays

Some men prefer to use sprays as an alternative to wipes. They use the same ingredient benzocaine, but the delivery mechanism is different. Sprays are sprayed on the penis. Some consider these less effective than wipes as the spray has to be spread evenly over both the penis head and shaft and there is a risk of overuse and the impact this might have on a man’s sexual partner. However, some men feel more at ease carrying a spray in their bag rather than wipes. It is a personal choice.

D. Sex therapist

Sex therapists are used extensively in the USA, but far less frequently in the UK. Sex therapists in the USA report that Premature Ejaculation is the number one men’s health condition that they treat. This may come as a surprise to people in the UK. But unlike Erectile dysfunction, which is now more commonly accepted since the rise in Viagra, Premature Ejaculation is still a hidden subject, and few men talk about it.  Sex therapists work on the man’s mind not the physical side like all other treatments here. They also help men to adjust to their condition as many men have both failed relationships and depression because of it. Sex therapy may help in these areas but is not a substitute for many of the treatments described here.

E. Kegel exercise.

Kegel exercises have been popular for many years for both men and women for a variety of different medical conditions. This is an excellent exercise for men suffering from premature ejaculation but generally needs a pelvic floor specialist or men’s health specialist to demonstrate how they can be accurately undertaken. Kegel exercises work on strengthening the Pelvic floor to control sexual intercourse and also delay ejaculation. They should be undertaken religiously twice a day for life and should be as normal in the daily routine as brushing one’s teeth. There are limitations on Kegel exercises, and it is impossible to engage more than 40% of the Pelvic floor muscles. Due to technical advances in treatments like the Tesla chair and Functional Magnetic Stimulation which not only replicate these exercises but can conduct thousands of repetitions in a fraction of the time.

F. Stop start technique.

The stop start technique is all in the name. As it suggests it is a form of self-pleasure where men understand the stages coming to a climax and stop just before. For acute Premature Ejaculation sufferers who can’t last more than five seconds this is extremely difficult, but for moderate sufferers of between one to three minutes, this is a must learn technique.

G. Squeeze technique

Like the stop start technique the squeeze technique is all about learning how your body reacts to the excitement of sexual stimulation and controlling the speed of the ejaculation. It is a technique that involves using your index finger at the back of the penis and the thumb at the front to delay the climax. Along with Kegel exercises the Squeeze technique should become part of a daily routine.

H. Tesla Chair

The Tesla chair is one of the medical breakthroughs of the 21st century when it comes to premature ejaculation. With this technology a man sits inside a fairly normal looking leather chair, but what happens next is a feat of engineering. In the space of a mere 20 minutes, the Tesla chair emits electro-magnetic energy that provides the equivalent of 19,000 Kegel exercises. It goes deep into the muscle structures, causing them to contract, become stronger and so enabling men to contract their erections and climax.   Only a few specialist men’s health clinics in the UK use this technology. One such clinic is MansMatters.

I. Functional Magnetic Stimulation

Provided by the same manufacturer of the Tesla chair, Functional Magnetic Stimulation is the same technology, but this time it is delivered in the form of a probe that is placed on a fully clothed penis. This probe causes the penile tissues to contract and expand over 20,000 times in 20 minutes. No other form of treatment on the market is able to do this and it can significantly improve the ejaculatory muscles and control. Many men use this treatment and the Tesla chair as a precursor to undertaking daily Kegel and stop start exercises. It is pain free and there are no side effects.

J. Tens Machine

Tens machines are readily available to buy for self-use. They are also relatively cheap. They have been used extensively for pain but are also used in conjunction with other treatments for premature ejaculation. With a tens machine electrical impulses are emitted directly onto the penis. It is a relatively simple device and should not be compared to the Functional Magnetic Stimulation or Tesla chair, it is a useful machine to have in ones PE armoury.

K. Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is the first treatment that that enters the realm of invasive technique and does not come without its risk. Hyaluronic acid is injected directly into the gland of the penis. Whilst some practitioners do this in a circle around the head, there are no set standards or industry controls. The acid can significantly numb the sensation, so in terms of PE is an effective treatment for a number of months, but there are risks including infections, a pimple appearing on the penis or the more serious side effects of long-term tissue damage, erectile dysfunction or Peyronie’s Disease.

L. Selective Dorsal Neurectomy

A more invasive form of surgery for premature ejaculation is Selective Dorsal Neurectomy. This is where cuts in the penis are made and ejaculatory branch nerves or the dorsal nerves are cut within the penis. This reduces sensitivity and hence the plan is that this will delay ejaculation. This is a very specialised form of surgery, and a highly experienced surgeon is required.

M. Cryoablation and Radio Frequency

Whereas with Selective Dorsal Neurectomy branches of the dorsal nerve are cut with Cryoablation and Radio Frequency nerve branches are frozen this is normally undertaken as day surgery. Currently the treatment is in the experimental stages and long-term side effects are not known. However, freezing nerves and tissues does have problems and it could lead to erectile dysfunction in the longer term.

N. Inner condom Techniques

The inner condom is the most invasive of all techniques. Imagine a condom behind the skin of the penis, instead of over it and this will give you a picture of this surgery. A cellular dermal matrix, (ADM) is fitted underneath the shaft of the penis. It forever changes the sensation. Whilst it may decrease sensitivity and work for some men, others complain the sensitivity is no longer natural. Long term risks are as yet unknown.

Premature ejaculation affects a huge number of the male population, but most men struggle on without taking solid clinical advice. One of the best clinics for all the nonsurgical treatments is Shockwave Clinics ltd, they are a specialist regenerative clinic based in Knightsbridge in Central London and are known internationally for their work in Premature Ejaculation, Peyronie’s Disease and Erectile Dysfunction.

Ten Hag: Manchester United youngsters needed stability to shine

Erik ten Hag says Manchester United are now providing a stable environment in which youngsters Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo can excel, having failed to do so earlier in the season.

United have won four of their five games in 2024 across all competitions, the only exception being a 2-2 draw with Tottenham in mid-January.

Back-to-back Premier League wins over Wolves and West Ham have seen the Red Devils cut the gap to fourth-placed Aston Villa – who they face on Sunday – to eight points.

United’s young players have been key to their improved form, with Mainoo scoring a 97th-minute winner at Wolves before Garnacho netted twice to join Hojlund on the scoresheet against West Ham.

After being ravaged by injuries during an inconsistent first half of the season, Ten Hag believes United are now providing the stability needed for their young players to express themselves.

“Players need time, especially young players like Rasmus and Alejandro,” Ten Hag said. “They need time, but they also need a team.

“Those two factors were not there in the first part of the season. We had to make a lot of adjustments to the team, to our way of play, so it was difficult to serve the offensive part of the team.

“When that happens, it can go really quickly, and players progress and develop.

“That’s what we’ve seen, but I was confident from the start they have the potential to do what they are doing. Now it’s about keeping going, being hungry.”

While United remain outsiders in the battle for Champions League qualification, Ten Hag is under no illusions as to the importance of Sunday’s match against a direct rival in Villa.

“I’ve said to the team from the start of January, every game is now a final. That was our approach to West Ham, we were a point behind them,” Ten Hag said.

“We have to see this as a final, take this challenge, and that will be every game for us from now on. We are already in that mood.”
