Manchester United: Hojlund ruled out for ‘two to three weeks’

Manchester United have confirmed in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund will miss the “next two to three weeks’ with a muscle injury.

The Denmark international endured a difficult start to life at Old Trafford following his summer switch from Atalanta – he had to wait until Boxing Day before grabbing his first Premier League goal – but has been prolific of late.

His two goals at Luton last Sunday saw him break the record for the youngest player to score in six successive Premier League matches.

Hojlund has struck up a fine relationship with fellow young guns Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho and his absence will be keenly felt when United host Fulham tomorrow.

Should he miss the full three weeks, Hojlund would also sit out the FA Cup trip to Nottingham Forest in midweek as well as league games with Manchester City and Everton.
