Inc & Co Diversifies Retail Portfolio with Acquisition of Sustainable Luxury Lingerie Brand Studio Pia

Inc & Co, a prominent global investment firm, has recently made a significant move in the retail sector by acquiring Studio Pia, a trailblazer in ethical and sustainable luxury lingerie. This acquisition is set to redefine industry standards by expanding the brand’s reach and enhancing its operational capabilities.

Founded in 2017 by Pia Harpur, Studio Pia is renowned for its commitment to ethical practices and avant-garde designs, crafted with exceptional attention to detail. Harpur will continue to lead Studio Pia, steering the brand towards greater international presence under the new ownership. The partnership aims to broaden Studio Pia’s market through wholesale channels, pop-up stores, concessions globally, and partnerships with third-party premium websites.

Jack Mason, CEO of Inc & Co, highlighted the strategic importance of this acquisition. “This marks a significant milestone for Inc & Co as we continue our expansion into retail alongside Studio Pia, whose management retains a level of equity,” Mason said. He expressed enthusiasm about bringing Studio Pia’s eco-friendly and sustainable products to a broader audience. “Our in-house commercial and finance team will work closely with Studio Pia, allowing the team to focus on what they’re already exceptionally good at, creating award-winning luxury lingerie. I’m excited to work with Pia and her team as we begin this new chapter, honouring the ethical ethos that once helped start this inspiring business.”

Pia Harpur, reflecting on the acquisition, shared her excitement about the future prospects this partnership holds. “I’m very excited for this next chapter in the Studio Pia story. Having built the brand over the ups and downs of the last 7 years, now feels like the perfect time to bring in the expertise needed to take the brand to the next level, and Inc & Co is the perfect partner to help us achieve our ambitions,” said Harpur. She further elaborated on the growth opportunities ahead, “Their expertise will help open doors that were previously inaccessible to Studio Pia, and with their support, we can access new opportunities and reach a wider audience who align with Studio Pia’s ethos of reimagining ethical luxury fashion and embracing individuality.”

The collaboration is not only focusing on physical store expansions but also on digital enhancements. With the backing of Inc & Co, Studio Pia plans a brand refresh, an upgraded digital storefront, and a highly anticipated new collection for Autumn/Winter 2024. This collection promises to revamp Studio Pia’s beloved designs, further cementing its commitment to ethical luxury on a global scale. Harpur views this as a rebirth for the brand, strengthening its dedication to sustainable luxury practices worldwide.
