Man charged with murder following disappearance of woman in 2022

Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin (24) from Ashton Under Lyne, was reported missing by her family back in February, 2022.

A police investigation was launched to locate her and in March 2022, officers arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of murder, who was bailed pending further enquiries.

Following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, a 61-year-old man has now been charged for Alisha’s murder.

David Alex Taylor (61) of Oak Avenue, Willington in Durham has been remanded into custody.

He will appear at Manchester Crown Court today.
