Charge-M8 Earns Trading Standards “Buy with Confidence” Approval

Charge-M8, specialists in electric car charging solutions, is proud to announce that they have received the prestigious “Buy with Confidence” Approval from Trading Standards as part of their national accreditation program. This recognition reinforces Charge-M8’s commitment to providing customers with high-quality services while adhering to consumer protection standards.

Buy With Confidence, a nationally available business approval scheme, is unique in that it is 100% owned, controlled, and independently operated by local authority Trading Standards departments, with the support of over 60 local authorities across the UK.

In the rigorous approval process, Charge-M8 underwent scrutiny by real Trading Standards Officers, including a comprehensive audit of their systems and policies to ensure compliance with consumer laws. Furthermore, all employees, particularly installation engineers who visit customers’ homes, underwent CRB checks, with advanced CRB checks for additional security. The assessment also included telephone interviews with randomly selected Charge-M8 customers, as conducted by the Trading Standards assessment team. Charge-M8 is delighted to have achieved this “Buy with Confidence” accreditation, which underscores their unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in service and customer care. Trading Standards holds a pivotal role in enforcing consumer laws in the United Kingdom, making this recognition even more significant. Moreover, this accreditation is not a one-time inspection but involves ongoing monitoring through continuous customer feedback and other checks, ensuring ongoing excellence for consumers.

Julian Smith, Founder and CEO of Charge-M8, expressed his pride in receiving Trading Standards’ recognition, emphasising the company’s dedication to delivering exceptional service and upholding consumer trust. “We are incredibly proud to receive the Trading Standards recognition as it demonstrates how committed we are as a business to maintaining the highest standards both in terms of our service and customer care. Trading Standards are the ultimate arbiter of consumer law in the United Kingdom, so we felt this would be an important accreditation to achieve and share with our customers so that they can have confidence when choosing to work with us.  What’s also impressive is that this is not simply a one-off inspection. Participating companies like Charge-M8 are monitored through continuous customer feedback and other checks on an on-going basis and that’s what makes this scheme so good for the consumer.”
