Spacewell Energy: Formerly Dexma, Now Empowering Over 10,000 Customers in 35 Countries

Dexma, a prominent provider of intelligent energy management tools for buildings, retail, and industry, has announced its rebranding as Spacewell Energy. The new name represents the company’s projects in both domestic and international markets.

After being acquired by multinational Spacewell in 2020, Spacewell Energy aims to strengthen its position as a leading provider of efficient energy management solutions in Europe while expanding its presence in new global markets.

Spacewell Energy offers a data-driven energy intelligence platform, empowering facility and property managers, energy service providers, and consultants to monitor energy consumption, analyze usage patterns, identify inefficiencies, and detect anomalies in real-time. Its SaaS solution enables businesses to optimize energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and make informed decisions about their buildings.

Automated energy data management solutions play a crucial role in minimizing the environmental impact of organizations and building portfolios. Leveraging artificial intelligence, these tools generate valuable insights that help predict building behavior, lower energy costs, monitor natural resource usage, and enhance overall building performance.

Spacewell Energy: Addressing the Evolving Challenges of Organizations

The adoption of the new corporate name signifies the completion of the integration process initiated in 2020 when Dexma merged with Spacewell, a technology company under the Nemetschek multinational. Xavi Novella, appointed as the company’s Managing Director, emphasizes the commitment of Spacewell Energy to respond to the changing world, technology, and organizational needs. Novella states, “We aim to tackle these new challenges at Spacewell Energy, respecting our achievements to date and looking ahead with optimism and a commitment to continuous growth.”

Expanding International Presence

With a customer base of over 10,000 in 35 countries, particularly in the UK, Spain, France, Benelux, and Italy, Spacewell Energy has experienced remarkable growth in 2022, with a 24% increase in software license sales. To foster customer relationships and facilitate further expansion, the company will maintain its headquarters in Barcelona while expanding its international reach across Europe and other regions. This international expansion plan includes the establishment of new teams in the Benelux countries, the United States, France, Germany, India, and the Nordic countries.

Technology Enabling Energy Efficiency

Amidst inflation and rising energy costs, Spacewell Energy’s solutions leverage data to provide real-time insights into energy consumption, anomalies, inefficiencies, and usage patterns. By utilizing this information, businesses can achieve energy savings of up to 20%.

Over 40% of Spacewell Energy’s workforce specializes in designing and developing energy management solutions. The company remains dedicated to assisting businesses and organizations in adopting responsible energy consumption practices, leading to cost savings and a reduction in carbon footprint.
