Altum HR shortlisted for national CIPD People Management Award

Greater Manchester HR consultancy recognised in Best CSR/ESG initiative category, with Team Member Christopher Brennan also shortlisted for the CIPD Outstanding Student Award
MANCHESTER, UK. June 11th, 2026 – Altum HR has been shortlisted in the Best CSR/ESG initiative category at the CIPD People Management Awards 2026, one of the UK’s leading awards programmes celebrating excellence across HR, learning and development, organisational development and people management.
The shortlist recognises Altum HR’s commitment to building a people-focused business with social value, ethical practice and community impact at its core.
The CIPD People Management Awards celebrate organisations and individuals who are making a meaningful contribution to the people profession. Altum HR has been shortlisted alongside a strong national field, reflecting the growing importance of responsible business, social value and ESG-led people practices.
Josie Broadstock, Founder of Altum HR, said: “Being shortlisted for Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)/Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiative is a very proud moment for everyone at Altum HR. From the start, we have wanted to build a business that does more than provide HR and employment law advice. We wanted to create a business that stands for something.
“Our CSR and ESG work are not a side project. It is part of who we are. It reflects the way we support our clients, the way we develop our own people, and the way we try to contribute positively to the communities around us.
“To be recognised by the CIPD People Management Awards is incredibly special because these awards are judged within the profession we care so deeply about. It is a real credit to our team, who continue to show that commercial success and social conscience can, and should, sit side by side.”
Altum HR’s recognition comes during a period of continued growth for the business, which recently expanded its Greater Manchester presence with a second office on King Street in Manchester, complementing its headquarters at Hamilton House in Altrincham.
In addition to the company’s CSR/ESG shortlist recognition, Christopher Brennan of Altum HR has also been shortlisted for the Michael Kelly Outstanding Student Award, recognising his commitment to professional development and the practical application of CIPD learning.
Christopher Brennan, Altum HR, said: “I am genuinely honoured to be shortlisted by the CIPD People Management Awards. Working at Altum HR has given me the opportunity to apply my studies in a real business environment where people, ethics and practical outcomes matter every day.
“What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is that it sits alongside Altum HR being shortlisted for Best CSR/ESG initiative. For me, that says a lot about the culture here. We are encouraged to keep learning, to challenge ourselves, and to think about the wider impact of the advice and support we give.
“HR has a powerful role to play in shaping better workplaces, and I am proud to be part of a team that takes that responsibility seriously.”
The winners of the CIPD People Management Awards 2026 will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 24 September 2026 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.
