An Oldham-based entrepreneur has been named in the Northern Asian Powerlist for the Second Year Running.
Anwar Ali, CEO of Upturn, has been named in the list which celebrates the contribution of Asian influence and impact across the North of England.
Anwar has been recognised in the Social Changemakers category in recognition for his work and achievements in supporting and improving the lives and health and wellbeing of people from diverse groups and disadvantaged communities across Oldham and the wider region.
Anwar Ali, CEO of Upturn, said: “Being named in the Northern Asian Powerlist for the second year in a row is hugely humbling for me. It’s a huge honour and one I am really proud of.”
The Northern Asian Powerlist showcases prominent businesses, professionals, influencers, women, media, politicians and change makers across the Northern Powerhouse.
