NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards Announces Ingenico Group as E-commerce Partner

The French-based company is the global leader in seamless payments, providing smart, trusted and secure solutions to empower commerce across all channels, in-store, online and mobile.

Ingenico joins the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards as it embarks on its sixth year, acknowledging and celebrating the hard work and inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses in Great Britain.

The Awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names, including: Julie Deane OBE of Cambridge Satchel Company, James Watt of BrewDog, Shaun Pulfrey of Tangle Teezer, and Hannah & Sophie Pycroft of Spectrum Collections.

With continued support from NatWest, the 2018 programme will see the awards held in five cities – Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London and Manchester.

Co-Founder of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Francesca James, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Ingenico Group for this year’s Awards programme as our first e-commerce partner.

“E-commerce is a vital element of business growth for so many of the entrepreneurs that enter the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, so we’re incredibly excited to have a partner with the stature and experience of Ingenico in that space.”

Marc Birkner, Managing Director, Small and Medium Businesses, Ingenico Group, said: “The Great British Entrepreneur Awards has a knack for picking out those small businesses that go on to become household names and international successes. By supporting the Awards, we want to champion their success, celebrating the people that made it happen and helping more entrepreneurs reach their potential.

“Businesses don’t exist without entrepreneurship. Every company began with someone spotting an opportunity, taking on the risk and working hard to achieve success. Entrepreneurs are the backbone of our economy and thanks to technology they are better equipped than ever to take on larger competitors and export their talents across the globe.”

Following a hugely successful 2017 programme, the Awards are now open for entries in 2018. National finals will be held in Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, and London, and will celebrate entrepreneurship across 12 categories including Start-Up, Creative Industries, Innovation and Young.
