MEPC further strengthens NOMA team with two new appointments

MEPC, the development and asset manager behind Manchester city centre’s 20-acre neighbourhood NOMA, has welcomed two new team members to its team, as it looks forward to completion on its flagship new building 4 Angel Square.

Based in the team’s new headquarters, the Pavilion on Angel Square, Olivia Hewitt and Alice Bolton-Gough have recently joined the MEPC team.

Paul Pavia, Commercial Director at MEPC said: “2023 is setting out to be a landmark year of progress and development at NOMA. Ahead of the completion of 4 Angel Square which will set the new sustainability and smart working standards for office buildings in the UK, it is great to welcome Olivia and Alice to NOMA, as we look to carry this momentum into the second half of the year.

“In an industry that has been male dominated for too long, we are very proud of the fact that we are now a female majority team.”

Olivia Hewitt joins MEPC as Development Manager at NOMA from One Heritage Group and previously worked for real estate services group Cushman & Wakefield. In her new position Olivia will be playing a key role in shaping the public realm at Angel Square as well as the health and wellbeing offering within 4 Angel Square.

Olivia said: “Having followed the work taking place at NOMA for a number of years, I’m proud to join the team that is playing a key role in transforming Manchester’s city centre. Over the last few years, the importance of green space within city centres has been highlighted time and time again, so I look forward to shaping NOMA’s public realm over the next few years.”

Having previously worked at JLL, Mileway and Squarestone, Alice Bolton-Gough joins MEPC as an Asset Manager. Although based in Manchester, her responsibilities will sit across both NOMA and MEPC’s Wellington Place development in Leeds.

Alice will be responsible for landlord and tenant matters, leading on office and retail lettings and asset performance. She said: “Sustainability and social impact are both issues that sit close to me. NOMA has a proven track record when it comes to sustainable development and social impact, so I am pleased to join a team that I can work towards a shared goal with.”

NOMA is set to complete its 200,000 sq ft office building, 4 Angel Square this summer, which will become the first operationally Net Zero office building in Manchester city centre. It has already been accredited with a NABERS Design for Performance Target Rating of Five Stars, BREEAM Outstanding in design and is targeting an EPC A rating.
