CharityEvent Hosted by Manchester's Metro Bank to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Event Hosted by Manchester’s Metro Bank to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Metro Bank’s Manchester store is celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on Wednesday 8th March from 10am-12pm with a complimentary networking event in partnership with Music Action International, a charity that targets supporting people who have been through war and the challenges they face in a foreign country, at its Market Street store.

Ramsey Janini, Finance and Operations Manager for Music Action International, will be talking about the charity’s work with people in exile, displaced communities, refugee camps and post conflict settings. Manchester Metro Bank’s Store Manager, Nilany Vasantharasan will also be sharing her journey as a former refugee.

International Women’s Day celebrates women’s rights and inspires people to act in the ongoing fight for gender equality – this year’s IWD theme is Embrace Equity.

‘’Anyone is welcome to come along and attend this event,’’ explains Manchester Metro Bank’s Store Manager, Nilany Vasantharasan. “As a signatory of the Investing in Women Code, we actively support women in business and we are looking to celebrate International Women’s Day in all our stores.”

Metro Bank’s Manchester store is located at 45 Market Street, M1 1WR. The store is open Monday – Saturday: 8:30am – 6pm, Sunday: 11am – 5pm.
