Lyca Radio launches across Greater Manchester

Lyca Radio has officially launched, marking a significant milestone in North West broadcasting.

The station, which replaces the Asian Sound Radio brand, is now available on 963AM, 1377AM, DAB, and various digital platforms, offering listeners a diverse range of content tailored to their interests and preferences.

With its launch, Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester aims to provide a fresh and dynamic listening experience for audiences across the region. The station signals a new era in Asian broadcasting, offering a blend of music, talk shows, news updates, and community-focused content designed to resonate with the diverse communities of North West England.

Listeners can tune in to Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester on traditional AM frequencies, as well as on DAB and digital platforms, ensuring accessibility for audiences across the region. The station’s presence on multiple platforms reflects its commitment to reaching a broad audience and serving as a vital source of entertainment, information, and connection for the community.

Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Radio Network, said: “Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester will include targeting listeners in Greater Manchester with shows produced locally as well as networked with the flagship Lyca Radio – Greater London brand,” said . “This combination of local and networked content will provide listeners with a unique blend of programming that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of the region while also connecting them to broader trends and topics.”

The launch event, held on Monday at Greater Manchester Broadcasting House in Southall Street, Manchester, was attended by distinguished guests, including Luthfur Rahman OBE – presenters and staff.
