Fletchers Engineering Donates £10,000 to Salford City Reds ‘Reds Rise Together’ Campaign

Fletchers Engineering, a leading engineering firm based in the Eccles, announced its donation of £10,000 to the Salford Red Devils’ Reds Rise Together campaign. The donation aims to support the club’s efforts in creating positive change within the Salford community.

The Reds Rise Together initiative, launched by the Salford Red Devils is an exciting venture aimed at giving fans a greater stake in the club’s future. The initiative aims to strengthen the connection between the team and its passionate fanbase while ensuring the long-term stability and success of the Salford Red Devils.

The first-in-it’s-history initiative, allows supporters to become owners, entitling them to a whole host of benefits, including a vote and the eligibility to stand for club election, in addition to exclusive offers.

The first milestone was to raise £250,000 and in just over a month the Salford Red Devils have hit their target, with 1,290 businesses and fans having already pledged their support for the club.

The Red Rise Together initiative aims to foster unity, resilience, and community engagement throughout Salford. It focuses on empowering individuals and communities, particularly those facing socio-economic challenges, by providing them with opportunities to participate in sporting activities, access resources, and enhance their overall well-being.

Fletchers Engineering recognises the significance of community support and is delighted to contribute to the Red Rise Together initiative. As a Salford-based company, Fletchers Engineering has been an integral part of the local business landscape for four decades. Throughout its existence, the company has always prioritised giving back to the community that has supported its growth and success.

Fletchers Engineering Director, Steve Fletcher expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership with the Salford Red Devils and the impact it will have on the community. He stated, “We are proud to support the Red Rise Together campaign and the tremendous work being done by the Salford Red Devils. We believe in the power of sports and community engagement to uplift individuals and foster unity.”

In addition to Fletchers Engineering’s commitment to the Salford community, the donation holds special significance for the company’s Director, Steve Fletcher, whose family has a deep-rooted connection to the Salford Red Devils. Notably, Paul Fletcher, a Fletchers welder and relative, who played for the club between 1980 and 1987.

Reflecting on his family’s connection to the Salford Red Devils, Steve Fletcher said, “The legacy of my dad’s cousin, Paul Fletcher, with the Salford Red Devils is something we hold dear. His time with the club has been a source of inspiration for our family, and we are honoured to continue supporting the Red Devils’ endeavours through our donation.”
