Prosperant Welcomes Gene Phillips as Principal Consultant, Strengthening Global Expertise

Prosperant, the foremost management consultancy in the legal industry, is thrilled to announce the addition of Gene Phillips as a principal consultant. Based in Los Angeles, California, Phillips will bring his extensive experience to support the Prosperant team on intricate projects. His expertise will be invaluable to US firms aiming to expand their domestic and international reach, as well as UK-based and global firms seeking to establish a presence in the US.

With over 13 years of international consulting experience, Phillips has worked with esteemed litigation powerhouses and boutique firms in the US, Australia, Canada, the UK, and the Netherlands. Throughout his career, he has provided strategic consulting and expert witness services for complex and high-profile commercial disputes. Phillips previously served as the CEO of PF2 Securities and as a Special Advisor to Validity Finance, cementing his reputation as a senior figure in the litigation world. Prior to this, he worked with Citigroup Alternative Investments, a prominent New York-based hedge fund. His Wall Street journey began in the Derivatives group at Moody’s Investors Service.

Jamie White, co-founder of Prosperant, expressed excitement about Phillips joining the team, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Gene, a highly regarded and influential figure in the litigation realm. Having spent a significant portion of my career supporting US-based law firms from London, we are thrilled to now have a strong on-the-ground presence. Our clients are eagerly anticipating the benefits of this expansion.”

Phillips himself shared his enthusiasm for working with Prosperant, stating, “I am delighted to collaborate with the team at Prosperant. We have maintained close working relationships over the years, and now is the perfect time to join forces as law firms seek innovative solutions to navigate technological and societal changes. Prosperant has a proven track record of launching firms and assembling the right mix of individuals or partners. I am particularly excited about helping boutiques and business lines establish themselves with sustainable and scalable business development practices.”

Phillips’ addition marks the third significant appointment to the Prosperant team this year. In February, Tina Fordham, formerly a geopolitical strategist at Citi, joined as a principal senior adviser, followed by Ian Moyler, who served as Senior Clerk at Brick Court Chambers in London for over 30 years.

Paul Martenstyn, co-founder of Prosperant, commented, “Our goal is to provide world-class advice and exceptional advisors wherever our clients need to conduct business. The US market remains pivotal to us, and we are delighted to have Gene’s support in further strengthening our presence.”
