Independent SME lender, Time Finance, has raised £8,500 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) through a series of fundraising initiatives, including its second annual charity five-a-side football tournament.
Held at Powerleague Manchester, the football tournament brought together brokers and industry partners from across the UK for an afternoon of friendly competition, networking and fundraising.
Building on the success of the inaugural event in 2024, this year’s tournament saw even greater support from the finance community, helping to boost the overall fundraising total.
Alongside the tournament, the UK-wide team at Time Finance also took part in a range of fundraising activities throughout the year, all in support of the RNLI’s lifesaving work.
The RNLI was chosen as Time Finance’s charity partner due to its close connection with the business. The charity held personal significance for a member of the Time Finance team who sadly passed away, making the fundraising efforts especially meaningful.
Ed Rimmer, CEO at Time Finance, said: “The RNLI was selected as our charity partner this year due to a personal connection within the team. Supporting the RNLI is a tribute to a much-loved colleague, and has united our team behind a cause that truly matters to us.
“We are very proud to have raised £8,500 thanks to the generosity of everyone involved. Our second football tournament was a fantastic success, and it was brilliant to see so many familiar and new faces come together to support such a vital cause. We are grateful to everyone who participated in our fundraising activities throughout the year and helped make this achievement possible.”
The RNLI relies on voluntary donations to fund its lifesaving services, with the majority of its lifeboat crews serving as volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
