King’s Lynn drainage firm AM Waste Management renames as AM Drainage Services

KING’S LYNN, UK. October 27th, 2026 – AM Waste Management Ltd, the drainage company based at Stow Bridge near King’s Lynn, has changed its name this month to AM Drainage Services Ltd, a name that says what the business does best.

The company was set up in 2025, and its owner has worked in drainage since 2016. Drainage is the whole of the business.

“The old name never told anyone what we actually do,” said Alex Manning, director of AM Drainage Services. “We unblock drains and empty septic tanks, day and night. Now the name on the van says that.”

Blocked drains are the biggest part of the job. The company offers emergency drain unblocking for homes and businesses 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Blockages are cleared with high-pressure jetting, dye tested to confirm the run is clear, then checked with a CCTV camera for hidden damage.

Prices are confirmed before any work starts, with no hidden fees. Night callouts carry no out-of-hours premium, so a call at 2am costs the same as one at 2pm. Emergency callouts are same day, often within a few hours.

For commercial kitchens, the company provides grease trap management, with regular emptying contracts for pubs, restaurants, hotels and care homes so traps don’t overflow during service. It also cleans oil and petrol interceptors for garages and forecourts.

On rural properties off the mains, it empties septic tanks on routine and emergency visits, installs and replaces tanks, and services sewage treatment plants and pump stations.

“Ring us and you get me, not a call centre,” Manning said. “Same lads, same number. If you’ve got it saved, it still works.”

AM Drainage Services is a three-man team with two fully equipped vans and two tankers, so one can stay free for emergencies. Excavation repairs are done in-house with its own diggers, so there’s no waiting on hire firms. It is registered with the Environment Agency as an upper-tier waste carrier under its new name, CBDU671712, and has more than 90 five-star reviews on Google.

The company’s email is now [email protected] and its website is moving to amdrainageservices.co.uk. It covers a 15 to 20 mile radius of Stow Bridge, including King’s Lynn, Downham Market, Hunstanton, Wisbech and the villages in between.
