Bolton family law firm expands service to Warrington

VM Family Law is extending its face-to-face appointments beyond Bolton, giving clients in Warrington and the surrounding area the option to meet their lawyer in person by prior arrangement.
Founded during lockdown in 2020 by experienced family solicitor Victoria Melling, Bolton-based VM Family Law advises clients across the North West and nationally.
Appointments will take place at The Causeway, Wilderspool Causeway, offering a convenient location for clients who would prefer to discuss their circumstances in person.
Victoria said Warrington was a natural choice because of its accessibility for clients across the region.
She added: “We work with clients across the North West and further afield, and Warrington is a convenient location for many of them. As the firm has developed, we have wanted to make sure that people can access our advice in a way that works for them.
“Although so much legal work can now be done virtually, family law is often about very personal and sometimes painful circumstances. For someone approaching a lawyer for the first time, being able to sit down with them, talk through their situation and ask questions face-to-face can make that first step feel much less daunting.”
Victoria said the relationships lawyers build with clients were particularly important in family law, where decisions about relationships, finances and children can have long-lasting consequences.
“People often come to us at a time when they feel anxious and uncertain about what lies ahead. They may be facing separation, trying to understand their financial position or worried about arrangements for their children.
“They need a lawyer they can trust who will listen carefully, understand what matters to them and treat their circumstances with empathy. But they also need honest advice. Our job is to explain the options clearly and help them find the best solution for their particular situation.
“Meeting in person can help build that trust. Clients can get to know the person advising them and feel more confident about discussing difficult issues. We can do much of our work remotely, but it is important that people have a choice.”
VM Family Law advises on divorce and separation, financial settlements and arrangements for children, as well as more complex cases involving business interests, property, pensions and other assets.
The firm has recently retained its Tier 3 ranking for family law in the North West in the Legal 500, with Victoria named a Leading Partner. Every member of the team was also individually recommended in the directory.
Victoria said: “We are very proud that every member of our team has been individually recommended. It is a significant endorsement of the expertise and commitment within the firm, and of the importance we place on giving clients specialist advice alongside a personal service.”
Appointments in Warrington are available by prior arrangement at The Causeway, Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, WA4 6PS.
