Can you help police identify these 22 people?

Police investigating outbreaks of disorder which took place across Manchester and Bolton, are seeking the public’s help to identify 22 people.

The faces have been released as the investigations into protests and disorder that have taken place, in the wake of the murder of three Southport girls.

Officers believe the individuals pictured in the CCTV images may be able to help their investigation into several incidents across the region.

One outbreak happened outside Sainsbury’s supermarket on Mosley Street, between 3-4pm on Saturday, August 3.

If you recognise any of the people pictured on the left, you should contact police through the MIPP portal Public Portal (mipp.police.uk)

Alternatively, you can call 101 or contact anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting ‘Operation Wilton’.

There were also clashes in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre the same day. piccadilly gardens collage 1 Two groups were kept apart by dozens of police officers.

The images of five men police want to identify have been released and they are pictured right.

Anyone who recognises them is urged to contact the force or submit information via their online portal or by quoting ‘Operation Spindle’.

newton heath appeal e1723184793576Officers want to speak to this man regarding an incident that took place on Oldham Road in Newton Heath on Wednesday, July 31.

Disorder broke out near the Holiday Inn on Oldham Road, following a protest in the evening.

A police spokeman said: “If you recognise the man pictured (left), please get in touch with police through the MIPP portal Public Portal (mipp.police.uk). Alternatively, contact us on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting Operation Swanmore.”

Outbreaks of disorder also took place in Bolton town centre on Sunday, August 4 with 14 arrests made. Police now need to track down the people pictured below.

Protesters and counter-protesters descended on the town centre but officers are continuing to investigate the disorder with the hope of securing further prosecutions.
