Slim Chickens Rebrands Fourth of July as Slimdependence Day

Slim Chickens, the American chicken chain that has made a splash in the UK fast-casual dining scene and garnered a loyal fan base, is taking its Fourth of July celebrations to the next level by renaming it Slimdependence Day!

Despite being in the UK for just five years, Slim Chickens has already established 45 restaurants across the country, with plans for more openings this year, including outlets at Haven Holiday sites.

Proud of its American heritage and recognising the love for its authentic American recipes among Brits, including popular YouTuber Chunkz, TikTok icons Brookie and Jessie, and two-time Love Islander Kady McDermott, Slim Chickens aims to bring the spirit of the US holiday to the UK. The goal is to make this year’s Fourth of July a grand day of Slimdependence celebration that everyone in the country can participate in.

To mark the occasion, Slim Chickens is introducing two mouth-watering additions to its menu, set to launch on the 4th of July. Customers can look forward to indulging in new Buffalo Blue Loaded Fries and a delightful Caramel Flake flavor joining the already enticing lineup of eight hand-spun shakes.

In the spirit of celebration, Slims is also giving away a trip to New York with £1000 for shopping! Customers who purchase a Tenders Meal between 27th June and 11th July and scan their loyalty card in the app will be entered into the draw.

Throughout the Independence Day month, Slim Chickens is offering a range of discounts. During the first week, customers can enjoy Four solo Tenders for just £4, followed by Two milkshakes for £6 in the second week. From 17th July, a Solo Wrap will be available for just £2.49, and between 24th and 30th July, all milkshakes will be priced at £3. These prices make Slim Chickens shakes even more affordable than most ice cream van cones!

To make the most of these exciting offers, customers are encouraged to download the user-friendly Slim Chickens app. By using the app’s loyalty card scheme, users can collect reward points and receive free products and discounts. Downloading the app and making a purchase using the loyalty card will even earn customers 3 FREE wings, or they can get a free milkshake with three points.

Richard Pigott, Slim Chickens UK Operations Director, expressed his excitement for Slimdependence Day, saying, “The Fourth of July is an incredibly special day in the US, where the Slim Chickens brand was born. We’re bringing this party vibe to our Slim Chickens restaurants in the UK. Get ready for a sensational event filled with mouth-watering flavors, irresistible deals, and a Southern American hospitality atmosphere that will make this Slimdependence Day truly unforgettable.”

Pigott added, “Slimdependence Day not only marks 20 years of the Slim Chickens brand in the US and five years since we started in the UK, but also serves as a thank you to all of our followers and loyal customers. For anyone who hasn’t heard of us or tasted our amazing fresh cooked-to-order chicken, delicious sides, and TikTok trending shakes, this is a perfect opportunity to give us a try. Our time-tested recipe has become a household favorite, ensuring flavor with our Southern-style buttermilk marinade and hand-breaded perfection with every order.”

Pigott also invited everyone in London to visit their Cambridge Circus restaurant on the Fourth of July to witness the Slimdependence Day parade. The event promises traditional Fourth of July style acts, including stilt walkers, fireworks, and, of course, an abundance of food. On the day, customers can enjoy four Slim Chicken tenders for just four pounds, and those who purchase a Tenders Meal will have a chance to win a trip to New York.
