Another year of exceptional growth for Claritas Tax

Claritas Tax, the independent tax advisory firm with offices in Birmingham and Manchester which was founded by Iain Wright 10 years ago, has just published its 2022 roundup and what a year that was!

Claritas’ revenues grew by 45% in the calendar year 2022, which represents a doubling of turnover in the last two years. The firm has now grown to 45 fee-earners across both offices, with the appointment of 10 new members last year – an amazing 25% growth in the strength of the team.

The business celebrated a few notable and prestigious award wins which included ‘Best Independent Tax Consultancy’ in the Tolley’s Taxation Awards, the ‘Inspiring Workplaces Best Employer’ award, and Insider Midlands Dealmakers ‘Specialist Transaction Team of the Year’. They ended the year on a high by taking home the award of ‘Best Small Business 2022 in Manchester’. All of these awards recognise the firm’s commitment to being a great place for clients to obtain high quality advice and for exceptional people to build their careers.

A final notable achievement during the year was the work carried out by Claritas’ Transactions Tax team, who advised on 56 deals with a combined value of more than £2.34bn throughout 2022, across various sectors.

Iain Wright, Partner at Claritas comments: “What a year Claritas has had. It’s our team that truly makes our firm what it is today. The statistics show for themselves and are a testament to our peoples’ commitment and pure hard work. A huge thank you to all at Claritas for your tireless efforts on providing the best service to our clients.”

Matt Hodgson, Partner at Claritas adds: “We have simply gone from strength to strength, and we couldn’t be more proud of the whole team. We have ambitious plans for the future and we will continue to recruit into our teams at all levels. We are planning to have a presence in a number of new UK cities over the next five years.”
