Chester-based Manleys Solicitors Elevates Jessica Turner to Associate Solicitor

Manleys Solicitors, a prestigious commercial litigation and reputation management firm located in Chester, has recently announced the promotion of Jessica Turner to the role of Associate Solicitor.

Jessica joined Manleys over seven years ago, bringing with her experience from a well-known full-service firm in the North-West. Her passion for becoming a successful reputation management and commercial litigation lawyer led her to join Manleys in 2016. Initially starting as a Paralegal and Personal Assistant to Mr. Manley, she played a vital role in the firm’s day-to-day operations, finances, and provided support to solicitors on various cases. While working full time, Jessica completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC with a Masters in Law and Business Management at the University of Law. Her dedication and hard work paid off, and she was awarded a training contract in 2017, qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019. Even after three and a half years of qualification, Jessica continues to excel in her work.

Since becoming qualified, Jessica has been instrumental in safeguarding her clients’ reputations, commercial interests, intellectual property, and confidential information. Her expertise spans a wide range of legal areas, including Reputation Management, Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Defamation, Privacy, Breach of Confidence, Harassment, Data Protection, Advertising Law, and Shareholder Disputes.

Throughout her career, Jessica has represented high-profile clients and has been involved in notable cases. One of her most significant achievements was securing a groundbreaking victory for her client in a privacy case (Pryor v Liverpool Womens’ NHS Foundation Trust & Lumsden ([2021] EWHC 2911 (QB)). This accomplishment received coverage in the media, including a report by Inforrm, a respected media blog. Jessica also achieved a notable outcome against a major social media platform, obtaining an out-of-court settlement for alleged defamation and data protection breaches. This achievement, reported earlier this year, undoubtedly contributed to her recent promotion. From these notable successes to the testimonials attributed to Jessica on the firm’s website (www.manleys.law), it is evident that she consistently delivers excellent results for her clients.

Mark Manley, Managing Director of the esteemed Legal 500 firm, expressed his satisfaction with Jessica’s career progression, stating, “Watching Jess rise from an administrative position/paralegal/trainee to one of our most accomplished solicitors has been truly rewarding. She is a dedicated and hard-working solicitor who has developed her legal knowledge, consistently surpasses all targets, and is undoubtedly a rising star. I had no hesitation in promoting her, and I have complete confidence that she will continue to excel while helping our clients achieve their goals. She is an asset to the firm.”

Regarding her recent promotion, Jessica expressed her satisfaction, saying, “I have enjoyed many fulfilling years at Manleys and have a genuine passion for the work I do. Achieving positive results for my clients has always been my primary goal, and I am excited to continue doing so in my new position at the firm.”
