Manleys Commemorate their 10th Anniversary, Delayed by a Year

Just recently, Manleys Solicitors joyously celebrated their remarkable 10-year anniversary… albeit a year belated!

Manleys Solicitors, a highly regarded boutique litigation firm located in Chester, established its roots in 2012 under the expertise of the acclaimed media lawyer, Mark Manley. Mark, previously a partner at Brabners in Liverpool and armed with extensive experience in a wide range of litigation matters, embraced the challenge of founding his own firm.

On the 1st of May 2012, Manleys officially opened its doors, occupying its former offices on St John Street in Chester. To commemorate this milestone, a vibrant launch party took place at the illustrious Hilton Double Tree. The event was attended by esteemed clients, including renowned comedians Ricky Tomlinson, Stan Boardman, and former footballer-turned-Sky TV pundit, Jamie Carragher.

Over the course of the past 10+ years, Manleys has thrived and flourished, boasting a client roster that resembles a Who’s Who list! The firm has garnered recognition from both national and local media, as well as prestigious legal directories. Notably, they were shortlisted for the Lawyer Awards UK Boutique Law Firm of the Year. In 2017, having outgrown their previous premises, Manleys acquired substantial commercial property spanning three floors at the esteemed Grosvenor Court. The firm relocated to their new abode just before Christmas that year.

The previous year proved to be exceptionally eventful for the firm, with numerous high-profile cases represented in prestigious venues such as the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland, the High Court of England and Wales, and the United States District Court in New York. However, amidst the demands of such a busy year, the significant milestone of the 10th anniversary passed by without celebration. Consequently, Rebekah Booth, the firm’s Chief Operations Officer, deemed it fitting to organize a surprise 10+1 dinner to finally honor the resounding success of the past 11 years.

Reflecting on a decade of achievements, Mark expressed his thoughts:

“Last week offered a valuable opportunity to pause and contemplate the journey of the past 10 years, along with the firm’s accomplishments during that period. I take immense pride in what we have cultivated and how the firm continues to excel across our primary areas of litigation, media, and sports. When I founded this firm, my goal was to establish a practice that prioritized delivering results, and I firmly believe we have achieved just that, securing numerous memorable victories for our clients in courts at every level within the UK and beyond. Our clientele encompasses members of the Royal Family, governments, political parties, various NHS Trusts, football clubs, players, agents from both domestic and international realms, and a multitude of entertainment celebrities, including many household names. Additionally, we are honored to represent several PLCs and significant corporate entities. As we embark on the 12th year of our journey, our plan remains steadfast: to achieve exceptional results for our clients.”
