100 New Jobs Created at the 3,500 Sq Ft Location

Hotly anticipated American fried chicken restaurant, Popeyes®, has announced that it is opening the doors to its first North West restaurant in Liverpool on Saturday 26th November, following the success of a string of new openings in Nottingham, Gateshead and Romford.

Following the announcement of the new 3,500 sq ft restaurant, Popeyes® will be creating 100 new jobs at the site. New staff members will be trained by Senior Training Manager Nicole Cockburn, who lives locally in Liverpool and has trained over 1000 employees around the UK over the last year. Popeyes® will help improve footfall and drive people into the city centre, aiding a boost within the local economy.

Popeyes® Liverpool will open on 59-61 Lord Street from 11am on Saturday 26th November and will seat up to 116 people split out both inside and outside. The launch is the 9th restaurant to open in the UK and the first in the North West, with 20 new restaurants expected to launch in 2023 including drive-thrus.

Tom Crowley, CEO of Popeyes®, said: “We’re excited to be kicking off our North West expansion in the heart of Liverpool – it is a thriving and great city with a huge appetite for Popeyes®! We had fans travel from Liverpool to our Stratford opening, so we know Liverpool residents will be excited to try a  Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich”

Chicken fans will be able to experience Popeyes® world famous ‘shatter crunch’ for themselves once they get their hands on the mouth-watering menu, including the iconic Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich, 12-hour marinated chicken tenders, Hot Wings and original Southern biscuits and gravy.
