BUSINESSES IN MANCHESTER AND THE NORTH WEST CELEBRATED IN NATIONAL TRAILBLAZERS PROGRAMME

An initiative championing regional growth by WIRED Consulting in partnership with HSBC UK

Mid-sized enterprises in Manchester and the North West, championing positive regional growth, have been recognised as part of a new UK-wide programme spearheaded by WIRED Consulting.

13 local businesses were selected who each typified WIRED Consulting’s vision of trailblazing enterprises, generating growth within the local business community and boosting the wider UK economy.

This list includes Me Litigation Funding, facilitating large scale consumer access to dispute resolution;  Sourceful, a platform providing more sustainable packaging fast and at scale and Smartkem, a semiconductor platform reshaping the world of electronics.

The full list of nominated businesses, in Manchester and the North West, features:

  • MAPD Group
  • Love Energy Savings
  • Orka Technology Group
  • Me Litigation Funding
  • Sorted
  • Peak
  • Ripe Thinking

Catherine Crump, Managing Director of WIRED Consulting, said: “Local businesses play a pivotal role in generating opportunities and supporting the local economy. The WIRED Trailblazers programme highlights the immense variety of entrepreneurial talent across the country – a testament to the UK’s thriving start-up and scale up scene. This initiative has allowed us to celebrate the very best of these incredible businesses and connect them with other like minded local enterprises, giving them a platform but also a path to forge important business connections.”

Across the UK, the WIRED Trailblazers Programme by WIRED Consulting in partnership with HSBC UK has awarded 75 businesses with a prestigious ‘Trailblazer’ status, recognising each enterprise’s commitment to driving local growth and harnessing the power of technology to deliver positive change for both the people and the planet.

At a networking breakfast, nominated executives from across each region came together to hear from inspirational leaders from larger enterprises, who shared insights from their scale-up journey. Each event provided entrepreneurs the opportunity to connect with peers and potential partners in their local region.

James Cundy, Head of Mid-Market Corporates and Structured Finance at HSBC UK, said:

“We are really proud to be working with WIRED Consulting to deliver the Trailblazer programme. Mid-sized businesses are the backbone of the UK economy, but are often overlooked. The banking sector has a role to play in helping these companies to thrive – whether that be through access to funding for those which have high-growth potential but are loss-making, by helping to navigate overseas expansion or by introducing them to businesses which can help catalyse their growth.’’

Each of the Trailblazer businesses will also be featured in two promotional pieces of content hosted on WIRED.co.uk celebrating each organisation and its impact on both a regional and UK wide level through an interactive ebook and article.

The WIRED Trailblazers campaign by WIRED Consulting marks the start of a collaboration between WIRED Consulting and HSBC UK, with several extensions of the WIRED Trailblazers Programme planned.
