Hyatt Hotels Manchester Shortlisted for This is Manchester Award 2022

The iconic Hyatt Regency Hotel and Hyatt House Manchester have been selected as a finalist at the prestigious This is Manchester Awards 2022, which seeks to showcase the ‘best of the best’ Greater Manchester has to offer.

Competing in the ‘Leading Hotel of the Year’ Award, the dual branded venue which makes up Hyatt Hotels Manchester is amongst eight fellow finalists; each highly regarded in their own rights making this a hotly contested category to judge.  The Manchester Awards 2022 are showcasing 109 finalists who have been chosen across 18 categories with awards spanning hospitality, arts and culture, fashion, tech, sports and health.

Assumpta McDonald, General Manager at Hyatt Hotels Manchester said: To successfully launch a new dual-hotel brand when the pandemic first hit is a massive achievement and testament to the exemplary standards and commitment our team has upheld since launch.

“From providing reliable world-class customer service, to our commitment to supporting Greater Manchester’s wider community and charitable organisations, we are proud of our place at the forefront of the North-West hospitality scene and are delighted to be recognized as a finalist in these coveted awards.”

Hyatt Hotels Manchester is a striking modern landmark building just off Oxford Road in the new innovation district. The 19-storey building comprises two upscale hotels – a 212 bedroom Regency Hotel and Hyatt House; a 116 bedroom apart-hotel with first class facilities and home from home comforts making it perfect for longer stays.

Hyatt Hotels Manchester is the first of its kind in the North of England, owing to its ‘dual branded’ model of running two distinct hotel brands in one building.   The venue previously operated as Crowne Plaza & Stalybridge Suites until January 2020, when the owners began the transfer to be Hyatt branded hotels and adopt the leading levels of service standards and facilities this brings.

A hub for major corporate events and business meetings, Hyatt Regency Manchester’s boasts over 804 sq m of flexible meeting space, including a purpose-built exclusive events floor with panoramic views, makes it a popular choice for event organisers.  Well respected in the elite sporting arena, the hotel regularly accommodates high-profile sporting teams and has customer service standards that are amongst the highest in the Hyatt brand.

The awards ceremony will take place at The Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, on 3rd November 2022.
