Rapsodo, a global sports technology company, has partnered with the
Golf Club Management Association (GCMA) to help golf clubs across the UK explore cost-effective driving range technology and enhance their practice facilities.
Since launching Rapsodo Range, the company has secured more than 10 installations in less than a year across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Designed for golf clubs and independent driving ranges, the system combines ball and club tracking, video replay and interactive practice features to create a more engaging, data-driven experience for golfers.
Making driving range technology more accessible
Rapsodo Range offers a flexible approach to upgrading practice facilities, with no upfront investment beyond a refundable security deposit, flexible contract terms and the option to start with just a few bays. Its compact design suits facilities that may not have the space or need for a traditional large-scale driving range. Implementation can typically be completed in a day, subject to site requirements.
Each unit provides 11 performance metrics, including ball speed, carry distance, club speed and launch angle, alongside video replays, virtual golf courses and interactive games. These features help golfers improve their practice while giving facilities new ways to encourage engagement, repeat visits and year-round use.
Matthew Rigby, Rapsodo’s Director of International Markets, said: “Driving range technology should be accessible to clubs of different sizes, not just large commercial facilities. Our growing UK installation base demonstrates demand for a flexible, cost-effective solution that benefits golfers and makes commercial sense for facilities. Through the GCMA, we look forward to bringing that opportunity to more club managers.”
The technology is already delivering benefits at UK facilities.
Middleton Hall Golf Club has equipped all eight of its driving range bays with Rapsodo Range. David Freeman, Director at the club, said: “We were impressed by the exceptional value for money and how easy the system was to set up. The results speak for themselves: increased footfall, higher revenue and extremely positive feedback.”
Through the partnership, GCMA members will have opportunities to learn how Rapsodo Range can help clubs modernise existing facilities, enhance golfer engagement and explore new revenue opportunities without requiring large-scale redevelopment.
Darren Wood, GCMA Partnerships Manager, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Rapsodo as a new GCMA partner, strengthening our network of leading organizations supporting golf clubs and the people who manage them. This partnership will provide opportunities for GCMA members to learn more about Rapsodo’s technology and its applications within golf, while enabling Rapsodo to build closer relationships with club managers and professionals across the UK.”
