Leading Environmental Firm i-ES Launches Groundbreaking New Virtual Surveying Service

Intelligent Environment Services (i-ES), a specialist supplier of enabling works, has introduced an innovative virtual rendering service for asbestos surveying, aimed at reducing the risk of asbestos exposure.

i-ES, headquartered in Manchester, is now offering “Virtual Rendering” surveys to its clients, providing a unique solution for conveying complex asbestos risk information.

Utilizing cutting-edge 3D technology, i-ES can transport users into an interactive, real-world walkthrough of buildings and environments. This innovative approach furnishes clients with an exact replica of their property, complete with critical compliance data embedded within the 3D render. This enables clients to view all asbestos-containing materials and their precise locations throughout the site in a lifelike manner.

Notably, i-ES is the first organisation globally to offer virtual tours within contaminated areas. This service provides clients with a comprehensive view of mechanical and electrical equipment, including its condition, within areas that were previously considered inaccessible.

Brent Wardle, Director at i-ES, commented, “We are delighted to launch this exciting new service, which is set to completely revolutionise the way asbestos surveys are carried out.

“The key benefit of the virtual survey is the added safety it provides for contractors who can virtually walk through a property and be able to easily and immediately identify where the asbestos is located, completely removing any ambiguity and thus any risk of accidental disturbance. Not only that, but if there is an asbestos incident, our technology completely removes the need for people to physically attend site, risking further exposure in order to determine risk and appropriate remedial actions.”

In addition to promoting a safer and more efficient approach to asbestos management, i-ES’s Virtual Tour technology can incorporate multiple layers of tagging. This feature aids in identifying health and safety risks and enables clients to tag and maintain a virtual replica and profile of all assets.

Brent Wardle added, “We have already successfully delivered virtual asbestos surveys and virtual renders for both new and existing clients, who have described it as a game-changing and watershed moment for the asbestos industry. We are extremely excited about the possibilities new technology can bring to our industry, and we are proud to be at the forefront of its integration.”

i-ES will be showcasing the Virtual Rendering service at the Contamination Expo on 13-14 September at the NEC Birmingham.
