pro-manchester to discuss progress of devolution at upcoming event

Our region is growing, but so are the challenges of improving the travel to work time and experience of our workforce. The quality of the journey must improve but so too must the levels of air quality, if quality of life is to be maintained and enhanced.

pro-manchester will be addressing the challenges of congestion and pollution in Greater Manchester at their upcoming Economics Conference, as well as seven further themes.

The conference will be giving insight on Greater Manchester’s Economy as experts review plans and objectives for the region in the current year and in the years ahead. pro-manchester will be joined by local authority leaders, economists and leading businesses with an interest in the city region. We will be laying out the scorecards and checking the progress of the key areas under review.

Now in its fourth year, the pro-manchester Economics Conference will be taking place on Thursday 18th October at The Lowry Hotel. The conference will be covering topics such as devolution, employment, inclusive growth, housing, commercial real estate and much more.

Dr John Ashcroft, pro-manchester Chief Executive and author of The Saturday Economist said: “We are really looking forward to seeing how well the Greater Manchester devolution has benefitted our region. Last year our conference focused on the Greater Manchester economy and it was hugely successful. We expect even more success this year, with the introduction of the ‘Greater Manchester Balanced Scorecard’. It is going to be of huge interest to businesses and to the Greater Manchester community.”
