Boy arrested following stabbing in Bury

Police were called to reports that three men had been stabbed near Bury market just after noon on Monday.

All three victims were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Two have been released.

Since the incident, officers have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of Section 18 assault, and he currently remains in police custody for questioning.

Greater Manchester Police are still appealing to anyone with information about this incident to make a report.

This includes anyone who may have relevant footage including CCTV, mobile, Ring doorbell or dashcam. You can make a report by calling 101, quoting 1338 of 11/03/2024. Alternatively, you can make a report anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
