Manchester animator links up with local social enterprise

Ben Wild Studios has announced a new partnership with Natwest SE100 Top Social Enterprise, Upturn Enterprise Ltd.

The partnership will see Ben and his team work with Anwar Ali, CEO of Upturn and Maria Williams, Co-Founder and HRM Director of Upturn to visually bring to life the social enterprise’s three core areas: Upturn People, which aims to unlock talent and aspirations, Upturn Communities, which enables communities to prosper and safe spaces to be created, and Upturn Enterprise, which helps entrepreneurs through the key stages to start their own business as well as working with established companies to strengthen local community ties.

The announcement coincides with Social Enterprise Day on Thursday 17th November and reflects both companies’ commitment to support talent and business.

Chief Doodler, Ben Wild, said: “We work with some incredible global brands and it’s really important for me personally to remember my roots and continue to support businesses and talent from where my career started.  Anwar’s whole ethos really resonates with me and it’s a privilege to work alongside him and Maria and support the incredible work that they do.

“Through this creative alliance, we’re going to visually tell Upturn’s journey alongside some of the amazing talent that they have helped. Upturn is committed to shining the light on local entrepreneurs and businesses so what better way to deliver that by bringing it to life visually for the world to see and understand.”

Maria Williams, Co-Founder of Upturn, added: “We’ve reached a pivotal milestone at Upturn and we really want to start shouting about what we do and what the incredible people we have supported, have achieved.

“Ben has a unique talent that is so powerful so we knew working with him would be an exciting way to show people how we help improve the lives and health and wellbeing of people from diverse groups and disadvantaged communities across Oldham and the wider region.”

As part of the partnership, the team at Ben Wild Studios have already provided support on the soon to be launched Upturn website, grant applications and BBC Children in Need case studies.
