BDO tops rankings for AIM Audits

BDO has again topped the AIM Adviser Rankings, auditor more AIM-listed North West companies than any other firm.

Stealing a march on the ‘Big Four’, BDO’s North West team audits more than 20 per cent of the AIM-listed businesses in the region, underlining the work it has done in recent years in cementing its expertise in this area.

Nationwide, BDO is auditor for a total of 149 AIM clients. The rankings also illustrate the firm’s leading expertise in several specialist sectors, including manufacturing, consumer services, basic materials, oil and gas. AIM clients in the North West include Wynnstay Group, James Cropper PLC and James Halstead PLC.

Gary Harding, Partner at BDO, said: “The North West is home to some of the UK’s most exciting and innovative businesses, many of which find a home on the growth market as a logical next step to harness growth. We’re very proud to support these businesses as they continue to expand and look forward to further building our AIM client base, supporting entrepreneurs and management teams in delivering their financial obligations and building their empires on the soundest of foundations.”

AIM is the most successful growth market in the world. Since its launch in 1995, over 3,600 companies from across the globe have chosen to join AIM. Powering the companies of tomorrow, AIM continues to help smaller and growing companies raise the capital they need for expansion.

He continued: “As a firm, we are committed to continuing to support these entrepreneurial, high-growth businesses; not just with expertise and support, but with research and continued efforts to influence the wider agenda, emphasising their significant value to the UK economy. Our ‘New Economy’ agenda and the conversations that have stimulated is just one example of the work we do behind the scenes beyond the day-to-day.”
