MRB sets sights on Manchester expansion following deal with Bruntwood 

Northern building engineering services consultancy, MRB Consulting Engineers, has agreed a deal with leading property company, Bruntwood, for office space at one of its flagship Manchester developments.

MRB, which provides the property and construction industry with sustainable design solutions, has agreed a 15-month license at 111 Piccadilly. In addition to MRB’s presence in Yorkshire, the new office will allow the consultancy to grow in Manchester and service its North West based clients.

The office will be run by MRB’s Regional Associate Directors, Dan O’Connell and Matt Rangeley, and the team are looking to recruit additional engineers across all grades.

MRB has a long-standing relationship with Bruntwood, having worked together for over five years on major developments across the North, including Platform and 3 Sovereign Square in Leeds.

John McElwee, Managing Director at MRB Consulting Engineers, said: “111 Piccadilly is in a fantastic central location, within a hub of design and property consultancies so we felt it was an obvious choice for us when it came to choosing a base for our Manchester office.  Having worked with Bruntwood for many years now, we were confident that its flexible and scalable approach to commercial lettings would enable our business to thrive in the North West.”

Craig Burrow, Director of Leeds at Bruntwood, said: “We have been working with John and the team for many years on projects in Leeds and we are delighted to support their expansion in to Manchester.  We are certain their experience, knowledge and approach will prove successful in the North West markets.”
