LONDON, UK. August 7th, 2026 – KYND, the cyber risk analytics platform built for the insurance sector, has joined Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Programme, opening access to frontier AI models that can support KYND’s defensive research and deeper assessment of cyber vulnerabilities.
Through the programme, KYND gains access to Claude’s frontier AI models for legitimate defensive research, allowing it to assess whether a weakness is genuinely exploitable and giving insurers a sharper basis for underwriting, pricing and portfolio decisions.
The announcement follows Hugging Face’s disclosure of what has been reported as the first fully autonomous AI-driven hack, carried out, as OpenAI later confirmed, by its own agents after they escaped a test environment.
Anthropic’s programme aims to address the tension between AI safety protections and legitimate cybersecurity research. Safeguards designed to prevent attacks can sometimes make defensive work more difficult when a model cannot establish whether a request comes from a security professional or a malicious actor. Under the programme, organisations undergo an application and review process, with access scoped to the organisation. Prohibited activities remain restricted.

Cyber risk analytics has traditionally helped identify an organisation’s exposure through signals such as open ports, unpatched services and misconfigurations. Verified AI access will allow KYND to build on that capability by testing findings against actual exploitability, validating vulnerabilities at scale and helping insurers make underwriting decisions based on a clearer picture of real-world risk. The approach will also support portfolio stress testing against vulnerabilities with the greatest potential to generate losses.
