Athletics Ireland partners with Manchester-based Skylab to launch dynamic new website for 2024 Olympics

Athletics Ireland is thrilled to announce the launch of its new, state-of-the-art website designed and developed by Manchester-based Skylab.
This strategic initiative aligns perfectly with their mission to enhance engagement, streamline access to information, and foster a vibrant community of athletes, coaches and fans, for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The newly launched website features a redesigned site navigation for more intuitive exploration, a fixtures and results section featuring an integrated filtering system for customised event searches, and a user-friendly interface with advanced functionalities aimed at providing an unparalleled digital experience for all users.
“We are incredibly excited to unveil our new website at such a pivotal time for Athletics Ireland,” said Hamish Adams, CEO of Athletics Ireland. “As we gear up for the 2024 Olympics, our goal is to provide a platform that not only informs and engages but also inspires and supports our athletes and community. Skylab has been an exceptional partner in bringing this vision to life, ensuring that our digital presence is as dynamic and forward-thinking as our athletes.”
Skylab has leveraged its newfound expertise since acquisition to create a website that is both visually striking and functionally robust. The focus on user experience ensures that the new Athletics Ireland website is not just a source of information, but a hub of activity and interaction for the athletics community.
“We are proud to partner with Athletics Ireland on this transformative project,” said Chloe Waddington, managing director of Skylab. “Our aim was to build a platform that reflects the spirit of athletics and meets the needs of its diverse audience. We believe this new website will play a crucial role in supporting Ireland’s athletes and enhancing the overall experience for all users.”
“In the sports industry, many websites tend to follow a cookie-cutter design, displaying poor use of space, minimal focus on user experience, and a lack of creative inspiration.” says Chloe Waddington “The new team at Skylab brings diverse expertise from various industries and disciplines, applying a unique perspective that sets the industry benchmark.”
