Celebrity names announced for International Women’s Day lunch in Manchester

Despite achieving success in their careers, all of the stars have faced the challenge of gender stereotyping.

In a debate hosted by the event’s organiser and leading businesswoman Liz Taylor, guests will share how they have fought individual discrimination to rise to the top of their careers, with each woman sharing how they feel society needs to change in order to break down barriers and celebrate women’s achievements more openly.

‘Liz Taylor and Friends’ event

The ‘Liz Taylor and Friends’ event takes place on March 8, 2024, at The Lowry Hotel from 12.30pm – 4.30pm and includes a drinks reception, three-course lunch, half a bottle of wine per person, and guest speakers.

Liz said: “As the celebrity panel grows, so does the debate. On the surface they have enviable lives and careers, but in achieving their success, each of my panel guests have faced – and overcome – huge challenges. I want to dig into their journeys, find out where they get the steely determination to succeed from, and how together they feel women can drive the change necessary to break gender stereotyping.

“It promises to be a day infused with stories and anecdotes around life, laughter and love – that will inspire our audience.”
