All Blacks v Australia Rugby : How to Watch Bledisloe Cup Game 2 in AU and NZ

After less than a week when both teams met at MCG, All Blacks are set to host Wallabies in the second series game at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin, the only covered venue in New Zealand.

H2h:

All Blacks vs. Australia is a familiar fixture, and as expected, Wallabies stand nowhere against All Blacks in 176 head-to-head games as the All Blacks are leading with 123-45 (Draws 8).

New Zealand:

Talking about All Blacks first, they’re pretty confident of registering another win at home after securing a win at MCG a few days ago, their sixth consecutive win against them. Moreover, coming to this game, New Zealand is on ten games winning streak and would like to continue their impressive record.

As New Zealand’s 33-men squad for Rugby World Cup is scheduled to announce on Monday evening, Ian Foster is looking to assess all available options in the final Test before heading off to France for the Rugby World Cup.

“It is our last chance to play in front of our fans, and, even with some changes, it is a big opportunity for us to take another step forward as a team. We can’t wait.”

That said, New Zealand coach Ian Foster has retained two players from the previous game’s starting XI and has also named three debutants; Shaun Stevenson starts on the wing, Samipeni Finau is in the back row, while Dallas McLeod is on the bench.

Moreover, captain Sam Cane is also back after missing last week due to a neck injury. That said, a much-changed side is expected to take the field against Wallabies; the result will likely go in All Blacks’ favor.

Team:

Tamaiti Williams – Samisoni Taukei’aho – Nepo Laulala – Brodie Retallick – Samuel Whitelock – Samipeni Finau – Sam Cane – Ardie Savea – Finlay Christie – Damian McKenzie – Leicester Fainga’anuku – Anton Lienert-Brown – Braydon Ennor – Shaun Stevenson – Will Jordan

Reserves:

Dane Coles – Ofa Tu’ungafasi – Fletcher Newell – Tupou Vaa’i – Luke Jacobson – Aaron Smith – Richie Mo’unga – Dallas McLeod

Australia:

On the other hand, Wallabies started well against All Blacks in their last game before losing control. However, another opportunity is knocking at the door for them to improve their record against All Blacks, a team they’ve lost the last six h2h games.

As the Wallabies have lost all three Tests (against New Zealand, Argentina, and South Africa) since Eddie Jones took over the charge, and with Rugby World Cup to start soon, where they’re scheduled to face France on August 28 in Paris in mega event game, consistent poor results have increased pressure on both coach and the players.

However, it should be noted that Jones was the last Australian coach to win on All Blacks’ soil (a 23-15 win in 2001), and the same is expected from him once again to end a 22-year, 28-match winless run in New Zealand.

Unlike their opponent, the Australian side will play without significant changes and would like to start their near era under Tate McDermott with a win; who is set to become the 86th captain of the Wallabies by replacing Allan Alaalatoa, who ruptured his Achilles last weekend and will miss the upcoming mega event.

Moreover, the Australian team will also be without the services of Taniela Tupou this weekend after he suffered a rib injury last weekend. With his absence, Pone Fa’amausili will most likely get his first start at tighthead in his fifth test, while Zane Nonggorr will also make his second test appearance from the bench.

Team:

Angus Bell – David Porecki – Pone Fa’amausili – Nick Frost – Richie Arnold – Tom Hooper – Fraser McReight – Rob Valetini – Tate McDermott – Carter Gordon – Marika Koroibete – Samu Kerevi – Jordan Petaia – Mark Nawaqanitawase – Andrew Kellaway

Reserves:

Jordan Uelese – James Slipper – Zane Nonggorr – Will Skelton – Rob Leota – Nic White – Quade Cooper –  Izaia Perese
