Cheltenham Day 2 Feature Race – Champion Chase

Cheltenham Day 2023 Recap
Day Two of the Cheltenham Festival was another successful day for the Irish, who won six of the seven races on the day! Getting off to the perfect start with Impaire Et Passe winning the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle for Willie Mullins, who coincidentally had the runner up, and third place! This was before Patrick Neville’s The Real Whacker landed the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase. The Coral Cup saw the Brits triumph, with Langer Dan landing the title for Dan Skelton. However, the Irish claimed the feature race as Energumene won back-to-back Champion Chases. It was the same in the next race as Delta Work won his second successive Glenfarclas Chase before Maskada was the winner of the Grand Annual Handicap Chase. The final race of the day went the way of A Dream To Share, who edged out Willie Mullins’ Fact To File in a thrilling finish.
