Cheltenham News – Shishkin is Out of The Gold Cup
Due to an “unsatisfactory picture” on a scoping to extend trainer Nicky Henderson’s dismal Cheltenham Festival, Shishkin, a ten year old gelding, has been pulled from Friday’s Gold Cup. It followed a catastrophic Tuesday at the Cheltenham Festival, where Henderson’s Seven Barrows stable had five of its six horses pull up.
Along with Shishkin, Sir Gino and Shanagh Bob have also been withdrawn by Henderson, depsite admitting that both horses seem to be in “Great Shape” this means that Constitution Hill, Shishkin, Sir Gino, and Shanagh Bob have all been withdrawn by Henderson.
